I feel incredibly fortunate to have been one of the four finalists for the BAFTA Young Presenter 2023 competition, representing talented young individuals from all corners of the United Kingdom. The entire experience was nothing short of amazing, and I hold it very close to my heart.

Spending the day at the prestigious BAFTA Headquarters was a dream come true. I had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with Lisa Prime, the Head of Children & Young People's Programme, and Ellie Rudge, the Coordinator of Children and Young People at BAFTA. They were both lovely individuals who made the experience even more memorable.

One of the highlights of the day was having the privilege to interview Ellie Osili-Wood. Ellie is an accomplished professional in the industry, and being able to learn from her and have a conversation was truly inspiring.

I also has the pleasure of spending time with Jeriah Kibusi, the winner of the 2022 BAFTA Young Presenter competition. Jeriah was not only talented but also incredibly generous in sharing his knowledge and offering tips. We had a fantastic time together, exchanging stories, discussing our passion and learning from each other's experiences.

Although I didn't emerge as the ultimate winner, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Elsie Adams, who won in the 10-14 age category, and Precious Assah, who emerged victorious in the 15-18 age category. Their talent and dedication were evident, and they truly deserved their well-earned recognition.

Participating in the BAFTA Young Presenter 2023 competition has been a tremendous honor for me. The memories, lessons, and connections I made throughout this journey will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am grateful for the opportunity and excited to see what the future holds for all of us who were part of this incredible experience.

A huge thanks to @georgiadg for being my interviewee for my initial audition 🙌.

Had the best few days in Seaham and Sunderland with @bafta Kids meeting the most brilliant children and their equally brilliant teachers. We ran lots of fun workshops and different sessions for them all about television, film and gaming. Newsround’s fantastic @degraftishere, young gaming designer wizard @blc88 and I have been asked the funniest, most thought provoking and imaginative questions and had a total blast dancing around like a bunch of chickens together (just listen to them singing along as they shook their tail feathers!) 🎶🐥 Thanks for having us… we loved every second, not that you can tell from this clip! 😜🤣🥳🫶

A wee throwback to last week and a lovely time had hosting the @bafta Roadshow and talking to kids in Dundee and Stirling about presenting, reporting and mental well-being with @benshires @_place2be @lisaprime @el.rudge @abiialdridge - thanks for having me all!

P.s. The mask is much heavier than expected - my arms got a proper work out!

P.p.s. Pictures stolen from @lisaprime & @el.rudge x

🎉 @bafta kids networking soiree last night, with @sir_ashleyj and @therealactionamanda

🗣Great to chat to so many colleagues in person, rather than on Zoom!

💥The refurbishment of this iconic building is outstanding.

🙏🏽Thank you @lisaprime for the invite.

🏆Looking forward to the children awards in November.
