„The world reveals itself to those who travel on foot.“
- Werner Herzog

I just finalized my entry for the Travel Photographer of the Year 2026 award. It feels completely surreal to stand alongside some of the world’s best photographers and put forward my work from the past three years. Looking back, in summer 2023 I didn’t even own a camera. Now, just 1,000 days later, this is my life. I can’t wait to see what adventures lie ahead and the stories waiting to be told.

There’s something special about connecting with nature that soothes the mind and nourishes the soul. For me, mountains form a sanctuary of healing energy that draws me closer when I need it most. Blue lakes and rivers, lush beech forests, glaciers, snowy peaks and rocky outcrops, each element stirs a sense of wonder and creativity within me. It’s a breathtaking playground, that also humbles me with its power. 🏔️🌱

What’s something that helps you reset or stay inspired through life’s waves? 🌊

I'm happy to share THE Mueller Hut Yearbook photo and some of the views from our journey to the Hut & and summit of Mt Ollivier. Being battered by freezing wind, climbing 2200 stairs, and bouldering in heavy rainfall on our way up was very humbling.

Many connections & friendships were formed at Mueller Hut. That morning, most of our fellow overnight hut-stayers and I gathered to gaze in awe at the sunrise, mini avalanches, and a curious kea. This was one of many amazing experiences I'm very grateful to have shared while in New Zealand!

Apologies if tags are misaligned! April fools 😅
