Valentines Day is a lot, a whole lot of love that is!
So grateful to our growers who have experienced fires, evacuations, next to no rain and not enough sunshine to bring us the most spectacular blooms to share.

Shoutout to our team who smiled at each other, wept over some of the card messages and helped customers find the perfect gift to say “I love you”.
Valentines Day 2026 delivered more love than we could have dreamt of! 😍

We love it when we get time to visit our growers on their properties. Seeing how and what they grow in person fills our hearts no end. Growers are the most important part of what we do and why we laud buying local.

Calling all my flower growing friends! You must add this book to your reading pile.

This book just sung to me; stories of why women grow flowers and plants and trees. Their tales are heartwarming and heart wrenching, they grow for deeply emotional reasons, for connection to the earth and loved ones lost, they toil for the promise of new beginnings, of making something out of nothing and often as a means of therapy, peace and purpose. This book challenged me to consider my own little garden (bourne out of COVID lockdowns) which has taught me to be patient, accept failure, to remind me that simple is best, to take more notice of the universe and to be more quiet, more often.

And that is Mother’s Day 2025 done and dusted !

It was a good one.

Biggest thank you to @australianflowergroup for always going above and beyond to supply beautiful blooms @lisastafforddesign for always supplying incredible foliage.

Also thank you to the whole team @misslillypillydrysdale. Your hard work is appreciated.

Thank you to my bestie @dfwm70. Without your support and help ( the job you never wanted but got anyway) I couldn’t do it.

Last but most importantly big thank you to all our wonderful customers. Without you we wouldn’t be here.

Perfect Sunday viewing on a glorious autumn day.

Flower farmers are a unique and resilient and resourceful and hopeful.

They are also my most favourite people in the world because they know how much the world needs flowers. Link in our bio.
