Dearest Gentle Readers,

What a splendid affair the bridal shower proved to be. My heart is truly grateful to all who gathered to celebrate as I prepare to embark on the most delightful new chapter—becoming Mrs. Johnson… or perhaps Dr. Jay.

I eagerly await the grand celebration with you all on May 30, 2026. 💍 #blacklove❤️ #bridalshower #hightea

What an incredible two nights for the For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf Musical Production! This production was an innovative way to promote the importance of mental health and well-being, while also addressing adverse childhood experiences and trauma.

The voices of everyday women were celebrated and honored in such a powerful and moving way! Thank you to Southwest Georgia Performing Arts Academy, Director Lisa T Love, Asst Director Clinton Banks-Vicks and all of the dynamic and talented women who poured their souls out on the stage. Our community is better as a result!
