Aaaand it’s back! It’s been four months since the pandemic halted sessions for me, but after safely shooting two @womenseriesproject sessions last week, the project is back up and running! Founded on the principle of total inclusivity, the project aims to provide a safe space for women of all backgrounds, orientation and identification. And in light of what 2020 has brought, it feels more necessary than ever. That said, I’m hoping to shift the participant statements to include thoughts on what this year has revealed: from COVID, to the protests, to the economic impact the pandemic has imposed and so on. The Black Lives Matter movement has proved a personal awakening, and it’s important I use my abilities to help continue to amplify BIPOC lives through this project. Quick breakdown of new protocols for the studio include:
•1 session per day (to allow for cleaning and airing out of studio)
•Wiping down of furniture, fabrics and any props used
•HEPA filter to help continuously clean and filter the space
•Mask use during all non-shooting time
•COVID health release form to be signed electronically prior to session
If you feel comfortable coming in for a session or know someone who would be interested in this project, please let me know! I’d love to connect. AND - if you’ve already participated in the project but would like to update your posting given this focus shift, please do! I’ll be happy to repost. If you have been photographed but haven’t yet shared a statement, I would really love to have your words included so I can share your full individual posting.

p.s. - I’ll be starting to book regular full portrait sessions later this month (provided there is NOT another big surge) for August-onward. I see these safety protocols staying in place for the foreseeable future and will be taking utmost care in ensuring a safe experience going forward!✨#womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen #portraitseries #portraitphotographer #bwsoulpr0ject #blacklivesmatter #mayweallbefree
