Cooking in the Texas summer heat over an open flame? Yeah, we might be a little crazy.

But whole roasted pig tacos, slow smoked lamb leg, tomahawk steaks, and sides all kissed by the fire is where we feel most at home.

If you want an Austin dinner worth talking about, you know where to find us.

We may have set the beef bar way too high…

When @peakwagyu connected with us to help debut their first A4 Wagyu cow from Takeda Farms in Hokkaido, Japan, we knew it would be something special.

They trusted us to build a seven course dinner around it for their official launch. We showcased various cuts like Zabuton, Ichibo, NY Strip, and the most insanely marbled brisket we’d ever seen. Each bite got the same love and respect the farmers put into raising this animal.

Needless to say, it was one hell of an evening. A4 Wagyu, live fire, and great people gathering around the table.

Thank you again to Peak Wagyu for trusting us, and if you want an experience like this for your next dinner or event in Austin, we’d love to cook for you.

36🎈it may have rained & we may have gotten kicked out of the villa (airbnb) for having too many guests, but my husband and my best friend did the MOST to plan and execute the most badass Love Island themed party. 😩🥹 @literallyjustdon @akvilegir #birthdaygirl #thisis36

Wilderness, redefined. Out here the Hill Country slows everything down. Days that move at their own pace and nights lit only by the stars. This is the kind of escape you come back from recharged.

Presales are now live for our crawfish boil!

It’s been a while, but we’re back on May 3! Come out and say hi, eat some crawfish and drink some great beer from our friends at @zilkerbeer

$30 gets you a 3 lb. box with crawfish, fish balls, corn, and potatoes (about 2 to 2.5 pounds of crawfish per box). Link in our bio to purchase now.

Presale runs now through April 29 with pickup slots available every hour. We’ll also have a limited number of boxes available on-site, but presale is the best way to make sure you get what you want, when you want it.

Each box feeds one comfortably, or two lighter eaters. The crawfish is boiled in a classic Cajun style, then tossed in our signature mix of curry butter, garlic, citrus, palm sugar, lemongrass, fried onions, and fresh herbs. Because of the format, we can’t accommodate modifications.

We’ll also have ice cream sandos with almond cookies and pandan ice cream

Penang Shack is back. After a two-year hiatus and many, many requests, we’re bringing back our signature Malaysian-Cajun crawfish boil, this time at Zilker Brewing in East Austin.

The deal: $30 gets you a 3 lb. box with crawfish, fish balls, corn, and potatoes (about 2 to 2.5 pounds of crawfish per box)

When: May 3, 12pm–5pm. Presales run from April 22-29, with pickup slots available every hour. We’ll also have a limited number of boxes available on-site, but presale is the best way to make sure you get what you want, when you want it.

Each box feeds one comfortably, or two light eaters. Our crawfish is boiled in a classic Cajun style, then tossed in our signature mix of curry butter, garlic, citrus, palm sugar, lemongrass, fried onions, and fresh herbs. Because of the format, we can’t accommodate modifications.

We’ll also have ice cream sandos with almond cookies and pandan ice cream.

Come hang out, grab a beer from Zilker, and join us for our first public event in a while.
