Happy Friday!

What is everyone currently reading? I am reading The Backup Plan by Jill Shalvis. It takes place in Lake Tahoe and now I am dying to go visit!

I saw @blendi.reads post this one last week, and I just had to participate.

💫 Best Cliffhanger: The Kingmaker by @kennedyryan1 because there was literally a cliff involved. 😱

💫 Best Debut: A Brush With Love by @mazeyeddings. This was my gateway into the wonderful world that is Mazey’s writing. 🤍

💫 Best Comeback: The No-Show by Beth O’Leary. I really didn’t like The Road Trip by her, but I LOVED this one; it was completely original and emotional. 👏

💫 Most Mind Bending: The Last Housewife by @ashleywinsteadbooks 😵‍💫🫣

💫 Most Likely to Make Me Cry: Reminders of Him by @colleenhoover. This book wrecked me. 😭

💫 Best Plot Twist: The Last Housewife (IYKYK) 🤯

💫 Weirdest Book: The House by @christinalauren, and I loved it! 👻 🏠

💫 Best Side Character(s): This one was probably the hardest because romances usually have some really great side characters. My number one pick I think is Sadie’s friend group in Lease on Love by @falonballard. I read this very early in 2022, but I remember absolutely adoring them. Another is the boys from Icebreaker. 👥🫶

💫 Best Love to Hate: Miles from Ugly Love. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who knows my feelings on this one. 😅

💫 Cutest Meet Cute: Daniel and Alexis from Part of Your World. A car accident rescue and a bar bet save. It was just the best. 🤗🥰

What is your favorite season?

I love fall and spring! With spring you get to see all the gorgeous flowers blooming and the promise of sunny days! I also am obsessed with fall as I love taking pictures of the fall foliage! The colors are so beautiful it always takes my breath away.

𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴:
It depends on my mood! I normally read at night, before I go to sleep. However, if it's warm in the morning, I enjoy reading outside 🥰

𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗼𝗿 𝗲-𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀:
I'm a 100% e-book reader. I have times where I listen audiobooks for a few weeks and nothing else... then I can be months without listening to books 🙊

𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀:
I prefer new releases, I have a hard time reading clothes description and not cringe when it goes before 2013 😆 I do enjoy reading old books that I read before though.

𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀:
Unbroken spines. I HATE breaking book spines, it hurts my heart... Kind of like dogearing books...

𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸:
I like the aesthetic of hardcovers... But when it comes down to reading? Paperback all the way!

𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆:
If the book doesn't have an HEA, I don't want it. My hurt cannot take it if I cry too much. That's why I learned to stay away from Colleen Hoover books... Cried too much.

𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗱-𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱:
I'm definitely a mood reader. I used to do a monthly tbr before... and I was never able to follow it. People who do stick with their monthly tbr? You're a GOD to me!

𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘆:
I enjoy reading with background noise. I normally keep my TV on... or if the book as a playlist? I listen to it.

I need bookmarks. I cannot live without them.
