We are delighted to announce our sponsorship of two-time European Karate Championships bronze medalist, Amy Connell! 🥋

Amy comes from a family of karateka, her dad was formerly president of British Karate, and her mum, sister, and brother-in-law practice too. She picked up the sport aged just 3 and won her first medal at the Junior European Championships aged 14.

Senior European Championships 2023 unfortunately has left me hurting, overthinking and wondering why💭😢

Preparation leading up to the championship both mentally, physically and emotionally was in place and all according to plan however I wasn’t able to show this on the tatami😔a complete mix of emotions competing both individually and in team at this event for the first allowing valuable experience gained and lessons learnt. Devastated with my own performance. I feel lost and confused. Sport can be so harsh sometimes, the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.

It was a pleasure to be part of Senior Male Team Kumite representing our country for the first time in this event in over 10 years. This is just the beginning of a very bright future🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿a massive well done to all my teammates who all fought with heart, passion, grit and determination! Proud of you all🙏

I will take a few days to step back and reflect, face my own battles and focus on myself again. It won’t happen overnight but I will be back….

Senior European Championships 2023 🇪🇸

First experience fighting senior this week, turning 18 under 2 weeks before the competition. Solid performances to start off the category and progress from the last competition but lots to improve on to get the result I want.

It was a pleasure to get the opportunity to fight in the Scotland senior male team alongside my teammates. Although we didn’t get the result we wanted this time round it is the start of something special.

Thank you to all my coaches and teammates at @shitokaiscotlandkarate and the National team for pushing me and supporting me no matter the result. Training continues to develop in the new category and get to where I want to be.
