💙 Special Supporter Spotlight 💙

Today we are celebrating another absolute superstar — Hatty 💙

We recently spent some time with Hatty and her wonderful family, the energy, warmth and positivity in the room was just incredible. Families like this remind us exactly why B Positive exists.

With the amazing support of her sisters Tilly and Dotty, along with her mum and dad, Hatty raised an incredible £7,605 for B Positive. Such an outstanding achievement from a family who truly understand the childhood cancer journey and who have chosen to give back to help others.

Spending time together was so special, full of smiles, strength and that unique understanding that brings families in this community together. We feel very lucky that Hatty and her family chose to support B Positive and help us continue supporting other children and families.

Hatty, you are simply amazing ⭐ Thank you for your kindness, your courage and your huge heart.

You know you have made an impact when the children and families you are trying to support carry out amazing fundraisers to help us continue Poppy’s legacy. 💛

This week Powered by Poppy received an incredible £7605 from little Hatty and her family who organised a huge fundraising campaign called Helpibg Hatty’s Heroes. A total of £30,780 was raised by this little warrior and her amazing family and friends and Powered By Poppy was chosen as one of four heroes. what an achievement to raise this incredible amount of money👏👏 👏

This donation will mean we can continue Poppy’s legacy of supporting children and families on the ward at weekends with breakfast, treats, activities and play therapy resources. We will also be able to keep the toiletries station stocked on the ward for any essentials needed by families. we will continue to create and gift fidget boxes, worry monsters and books via the play therapists.

To Hatty and her family - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This means more than you will ever know and to know we make a difference is so important and helps our hearts 💛🎗️🌻

@littlecricketsstore began around our kitchen table. We’re two sisters, a teacher and a psychologist, who started sharing the essentials that helped us get through motherhood. What began as a hobby during maternity leave, where we could share and support each other, has grown into a small community of parents, grandparents and caregivers who understand and enjoy the chaos that this season of life brings
We now create personalised pieces, from blankets and jumpers to Christmas stockings, each one made with care and love. The thought of being part of your memories brings us so much joy! You’ll also find some of our favourite bigger brands that have been a stable when we’re parenting, such as Tonies, Avery Row, and Mimi & Lulu!
Our market stall is always a little chaotic but always cosy. It is usually squeezed in between full-time work, parenting and the school-run shuffle. Come and have a look, see what you can find, and stop for a chat. We can’t wait to meet you!

Breastival 2025

The sun was shining all day over Ormeau Park yesterday. When I arrived, it just made my heart happy to see so many families sitting on the grass, in the shade of the trees happily breastfeeding their little ones. Events like this go a long way in normalising breastfeeding!

Unfortunately I had just missed @alicialappinibclc’s talk but I was able to hear a little of @rscottpillai_ibclc_sleepcoach wonderful talk in the Chat and Chill tent.

Then I headed over to see all my IFL colleagues from across the region and even got a picture with the Mayor! I bumped into the wonderful Caoimhe @latch.ie @tinylifecharity, the milk bank, La Leche League and many others had information stalls too.

I loved the addition of the market stalls this year with lots more food options and so many lovely products for both mum and baby - from jewellery, clothes and flowers to bibs, blankets and toys. It was so nice to see @beccacalmont, @weebambino.shop @slobberscarves and @littlecricketsstore along with a new find for me - @littlelamm.shop

It was such a perfect day out! Hope you all enjoyed it too!

Travelling in style 👌🏻
We absolutely loved receiving this video of Hattie making her way to the ward aboard her very own B Positive suitcase.

That smile 😃 🫶🏻
