Phew! Where do I start! If a year ago you told me I started following the Lord, going to church, owning a bible, singing worship music, worshipping freely, or that I went on a missions trip, I would’ve laughed in your face. My whole life has never been built on Christ’s foundation. I never knew who God was. I never even understood what faith was. God walked into my life when he knew I needed to see Him. Even though it took me a few years to understand Him, I could never go back and leave God’s side!

When I heard that @nlyacos was going on a missions trip, I never knew I wanted to serve until I knew God wanted me to say yes to this trip. Was I nervous? Scared? Holy crap absolutely!! Did I regret it? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! After a week in the Dominican Republic, with long bus rides with deep bus buddy conversations, to fishing a tire out of the ocean, and worshipping and praying every second, not only did I grow in my faith, I grew life long relationships with my team and @casamisionerard!

I went to the DR one person, and I came home completely new and transformed. Tears left marks, laugher left rooms filled, hugs paused the world, prayers opened eyes, and hearts left 100x bigger. I got to pray over amazing children, teachers, families, pastors, interns, etc. God created and loves every one of us the same! (Romans 2:11) It’s inspiring to see these people go through battles yet love God the way they do and trust His plan for them is who I inspire to be. Sitting there and listening to everyone’s stories was such a blessing to be apart of!!!!

“How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written; How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.” Romans 10:14-15

If you ever get the chance to go on a missions trip, or just feel the calling to pray for anybody… DO IT!
