I’ve been absolutely terrible at updating my work Instagram lately but I’m still here making tattoos behind the scenes, so here’s a little run down of what I’ve been up to lately. First up is Dexter and Stanley ❤️

Little tiny ornament - I always love the wee dinky ones as much as the bigger pieces

The Gang went to my one true love @thelongroadfest again this year. Dressed up, met some really good dogs and danced a lot

This little portrait is so much smaller than it looks!

Gorgeous gorgeous Sunny!

My very best friend turned 10 whole years old!

Matching little pieces for a mum and daughter. Mum’s first tattoo and she nailed it

Did some climbing, @macsmalld got some exceptional photos

Little cat ears with fluff that grows in different directions!

Met a VERY good cat @life.of.meebs

Tattooed another very good cat! The photo I got is a little bit warped and the white is a touch bloody but I can’t let that put me off the upload

Started this 300 themed Amphora Vase 🏺 we’ve since finished the flowers, shading to come

13 examples of why I’m shit at film photography (and why it doesn’t matter).

Some are blurry. Some are badly exposed. Some are framed a little questionably.

And a couple of entire rolls aren’t here because I apparently forgot how loading film works and came home with some very expensive blank negatives.

But these 13 survived.

And honestly, I kind of love them.

I spend so much of my working life trying to make things sharp, polished and technically right that there’s something quite nice about carrying a camera that occasionally tells me to get fucked.

No previews. No second chances. Sometimes no photos at all.

Anyway, here are 13 imperfect little bits of Scotland that actually made it to the scanner. 🎞️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

✶ Throwback to Beneath ✶

We've been a tad quiet of late as we are taking a small rest after a busy start to the year, but don't worry, we are still working on plans for exciting events ahead. We are also having lots of discussions about what next steps we take with Oak & Ember and what we can do to keep bringing you the best art from the most talented bunch of artists going. We are always open for feedback or suggestions, drop us a message or use the contact form on our website.

With our next big event approaching this summer, we will soon be making an announcement and running an artist call out, so keep an eye out if you want to get involved. Alex will also be dropping her Horde O' Haggis at the end of the month and a shop update will swiftly follow. As I'm off to Copenhagen next week, there may be a slight delay on shop orders going out, but as always our messages are open for anything urgent.

Managed to get some tattooing done this week (somehow) @goldleaftattooglasgow.

They have been so kind to me and @katemontytattoo / @wildflowertatts so thankyou to Laura & Ellie for welcoming us with open arms. I had a great time this week and it was a much needed distraction from things.

I have some new exciting news coming next week but for now swipe right for some tatts. Thanks to everyone who got tattooed or donated or messaged us this week.
We’re gonna be fine it’s going to take a big push but we’ll be back stronger the even ever thanks to you all!
