WOW. BIG one for me 🫠 (and you!) my people. For those that know - know. for those that don't - everyone's favourite DJ is playing at least 1-3 (+) VHOOR tracks in each one of their sets. for years. VHOOR is from Brazil and is the king of Baile/Baile Funk. VHOOR has built a name for himself with producing & mixing global electronic music with Brazilian and Afro-Latino rhythms. VHOOR continues to push the boundaries of electronic music production, importing international genres and incorporating them with Brazilian Baile Funk and other lesser known Brazilian rhythms. His solo instrumental albums ('Dias Antes do Baile', 'Ritmo', 'Baile &' Series ), and his work as part of the collective Weird Baile and his collaborations with Sango have expanded the conversation on the potential of Brazilian and global electronic music.

This is a double headliner event at the gorgeous Hollywood theatre in kits. No other than our boi OAKK who needs - little to no introduction - will be closing the night out. There is nothing this dude can't do and i'm floored by his talents and the way that he has single handedly changed the bass music game with his hard work and dedication.

OAKK is filling shoes that have never been worn before 🌳 Traversing nearly every genre, OAKK’s music stands alone as some of the most boundary-pushing selections in the scene today. Since relocating to Vancouver - this will be OAKK's first big event in the city.

W/ local support from underground head & digger extraordinaire who is always on top of the newest shit - MATSYA & NJOKI NJOKI - a rising talent from Vancouver - born and raised in Kenya, NJOKI blends diasporic club soundscapes layered with a broad genre of melodies to create a thoughtful & hype musical experience.

Going to leave you with that for now ~

I am so beyond honoured to have helped with spearheading turning this glimmer of vision into a reality ✨ to be hosting VHOOR on not only his first NA tour but his first time in Canada. feeling good to be lit the f up on this path i’m on, so crystal clear ✨👁️✨ here for every moment of it. major shout outs to those who see the work i’m putting in and support it 💗

Cop tickets ASAP. 🔗in bi🧿

leading up to 2022 i didn’t have much artistic inspiration but after the passing of our friend dylan aka tiger fresh (the original graphic designer of gazzy) we both agreed it was super important we made a print dedicated to him. an ode to tiger fresh if you will. all of our collabs previously would not have been made possible without him.

gazzy came up last april and we had the most magical and beautiful weekend of healing together on the sunshine coast with some of our nearest and dearest taurus besties. I will forever hold that weekend close to my heart.

after our getaway we sat down to do some brain storming for our print for dylan and we had both envisioned a lot of very similar ideas without even speaking yet.

all was aligned and the print creation was on its way. it’s always so cool to watch this process come to life.

as a lot of you know megan has been fully immersed in getting herself through breast cancer since december, so much has happened in the last year, life is temporary, life is precious.

This print represents each one of us ⚡️⚡️⚡️ it represents a moment in time, it represents life and most importantly that love over powers everything and is all that truly matters at the end of the day 💗

LYMY ‘23 - love you // miss you ~ by megan and myself for dylan in the spirit world, in everything / everywhere 🌬️🐅♾️

A percentages of each sale will go towards supporting young artists in Oakland through @yeahart_ & the rest will go towards getting gazzy though this specific chapter which she is crushing through! we love you gazzy. you got this 💪🏼⚡️

will you be my valentine? 🌹🏹👼🏼☁️✨

getting to finally host this event feels like we really did make it through whatever 'that' just was... the last Lost in Lust we gathered at was easily one of THE most beautiful events i've honestly ever experienced in this city. down to the very last little detail. I wished it could have lasted forever, especially once we realized that it was in fact going to be the last event in (who would have thought) years...

I'm proud of you, I'm proud of me... I'm proud of us 💗 for staying on that roller coaster & making it out the other side 🎢🎡🌊🪞♾️ It's time to celebrate in the name of love 💗 in the name of loss 💔 in the name of grief ❤️‍🩹 in the name of lust ❤️‍🔥

this one won't be anything short of magnificent, a special place was very recently discovered by a vancouver ICON and I'm absolutely honoured to be one of the first people hosting something in this space.

so with all that being said, on february 10th at The Crystal Ballroom ~ please join us for a sensual evening of art, music and performance.

🌹🏹 Lost in Lust III 🏹🌹 tickets available now 🎟

♥ cover photo taken for a very special book, for a very special someone, honourable mention to @lydia_mania for being this country & this events biggest fan 💌
