🦇🏃‍♀️ Our New Home for SMM! 🏃‍♂️🦇

What a brilliant first Thursday evening run at our new club venue, Little Stoke Cricket Club ❤️

We had an amazing turnout, with over 50 runners joining us across three different runs. It was fantastic to see everyone coming together, getting some miles in, having a laugh and enjoying the evening. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

And of course, the evening finished with a great social afterwards! 🍻😊

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our first evening at our new home such a success. Here’s to many more club nights at the new Bat cave! 🦇❤️

🏏From Staffordshire to.......

We’re very excited to begin a new project that we’ve been working on with some very talented and knowledgeable women. All of these incredible women played for Staffordshire and have gone on to either play or officiate internationally.

This project has been inspired by the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which begins at Edgbaston Stadium next Friday.

☺️We hope that you enjoy learning a little more about just a handful of our former players.

Grace Potts kicks of this project and talks about how our very own Leigh Rees helped with her journey in a very successful Staffordshire side. Grace began playing her cricket at Little Stoke Cricket Club, also playing with teams at J & G Meakin Cricket Club and Porthill Park Cricket Club

To read more about Grace’s journey, follow this link to our website https://www.staffordshirecricket.co.uk/about/from-staffs-to/

🏏 PHOENIX RESULTS 🏏

Tough result for the Phoenix tonight, with Little Stoke taking the win by 52 runs.

A really positive start from the Heath though, with some excellent bowling and sharp fielding in the first innings taking a few big early wickets and putting the pressure on. 👏🔥

Unfortunately Little Stoke bowled really well and made things difficult for us in the chase. Plenty of fight shown throughout and lots to build on going forward 💚💛

Here’s to another big weekend of cricket!

🤩 It’s been some day today! A super busy day for women’s softball cricket across the county with 23 teams taking part.

Fordhouses Cricket Club, Little Stoke Cricket Club & Aldridge Cricket Club all hosted festivals on what has been a truly brilliant day.

👏🏼 Big thanks to all three clubs for hosting today, it was a red hot day for all of the volunteers that helped to make the day so special.

🏏 We hope that everyone enjoyed today’s festivals and we look forward to seeing you all again in June 😀

🏏 SATURDAY ROUND-UP 🏏

A mixed day across the club, but plenty of positives and some brilliant individual performances throughout 💚💛

🌟 U9’s
A tough game away at Little Stoke, but a huge well done to A. Heath who finished with the most runs scored across BOTH teams 👏🔥

🌟 2nd XI
Back to winning ways with a fantastic 3 wicket win away at Kidsgrove 💪
🔥 Asif continued his incredible form with another 4 wicket haul 👏
🏏 The Britton brothers then led the chase brilliantly:
• Jason with 39 including 7 fours & a six
• John with 27 including 5 boundaries
A brilliant team effort to get the Heath over the line 💚💛

🌟 1st XI
A battling performance despite defeat to Hanford.

🎯 Uwais starred in the first innings with 3 wickets
💥 Farrukh then gave the Heath a real fighting chance with a superb 84 including 5 fours & 3 sixes

Plenty to build on heading into next week 💚💛
