12 weeks later. 🥹 Bear with me I’m going to be sappy. I’ve said it a hundred times, but it truly is incredible how one small decision can change your life. If you had told me in April that taking a leap of faith and saying yes to a collegiate summer baseball league internship would change my life - there is no way I would’ve believed it. This summer has somehow been the longest and quickest one ever. I would get a million more mosquito bites just to have one more game with these people. I have learned so much this summer - about myself, this industry, baseball, God… but one big thing I’ve taken with me is that you never know when, where, or how God will work. I was able to see God through my friends and their constant perseverance, players who recognized that they wouldn’t have this sport without God, my coworkers who loved like He does, and through the Word when I was physically and mentally exhausted. God works in crazy ways, and it’s so incredible to be able to see His presence in a way I never have before. I could not be more grateful for the Bacon, the people who make up the Bacon, and this summer. “The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.” Psalm 145:9. It’s beautiful to have something (and people) that make goodbyes so hard. Everything happens for a reason, and every person I met this summer and experience I had were carefully picked by God to teach me something. Thank you, Jesus, for a summer full of blessings in the form of my best friends! 🥹🫶🏼
