TURLEY is pleased to present Chirality, Liu Kincheloe’s first solo exhibition with the gallery since their representation. Chirality explores reflection and mirroring of the self and image, and Chiron, a bridge between polarities. Kincheloe’s paintings navigate a spectrum of information versus noise and play with transformation within the novelty of irreproducibility. Drawing inspiration from mythology, shamanism, esoteric Taoism, complexity theory, and emergent relationships, the works reflect the symbolic role of ornament and pattern. Mixing formal vocabularies with enigmatic forms that emerge from mirrored symmetry, each piece provides an avenue to disrupt fixed reading, through which the act of painting becomes a personal sanctuary for presence, reflection, and recognition.
