Immigrant Brush 🇹🇭😎🇺🇸
I made my first brushes from whatever I could find. I couldn’t afford expensive art supplies before, so I worked with what I had.

Looking back, I realize those limitations became my greatest teacher. They forced me to experiment, adapt, and develop a process that eventually became my own artistic voice. You don’t need much to make good work, just the willingness to start with what you have.

Sometimes our greatest limitations become our greatest strengths 💪🏼

Thank you 📸🤍 @liv.phare

The Florist.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A journal entry from the day I made this week’s photo drop.
“I’m sitting at the flower market waiting for a man to return to his car. I had just finished composing a photo when a young man parked his car right in the middle. When he got out, he asked me if I was taking a photo, and that he’d be back in ten minutes. So now, I wait. The smell of jasmine is floating in the air. Almost every vendor has a few for sale.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The market began in 1809, but the current configuration with its green metal structures came about in the 1920’s. Somewhere between Nouveau and Deco, it’s dreamy. Young saplings are growing from the roofs, and church bells ring every so often.”
