HAMPTON ROADS, SAVE THIS ONE. Don’t want our people stuck!

We’re all excited to see the progress happening at the HRBT, but October is going to require a little extra planning.

VDOT has announced several full weekend directional closures of the HRBT for repaving. Each closure begins at 9 PM Friday and runs through 5 AM Monday. The opposite direction will remain open.

WESTBOUND toward Hampton
• Oct. 2 at 9 PM through Oct. 5 at 5 AM
• Oct. 9 at 9 PM through Oct. 12 at 5 AM, if needed

EASTBOUND toward Norfolk
• Oct. 16 at 9 PM through Oct. 19 at 5 AM
• Oct. 30 at 9 PM through Nov. 2 at 5 AM, if needed

Living in Hampton Roads means knowing there are days when “it’s just across the water” is a wildly optimistic statement.

Save this. Share it. And plan accordingly.

Sandbar ❌ We had less than 24 hours.

And apparently that was all this crew needed. 😂 (huge shout out to the behind the scenes crew)

One MASSIVE pivot later and somehow Plan B turned into one of the best events we’ve ever thrown.

Surf Rider was PACKED.
The drinks were flowing.
The energy was UNREAL.
And y’all SHOWED. 👏🏼 THE. 👏🏼 HELL. 👏🏼 UP.

Honestly??? I think the pivot made it 10x better. 😂

First — SURF RIDER + THEIR STAFF. Absolute LEGENDS. Taking on our entire circus with less than 24 hours notice and handling it like this was the plan all along?! The staff absolutely crushed it and we seriously cannot thank y’all enough for opening your doors to our chaos. 🍻😂

@cohesivetitle + @tidewaterinsurance + @popeinsurancevb — thank you for being the kind of partners who hear “our entire plan just changed” and respond with “okay, what are we doing now?” 😂 THIS is why we love doing these events with y’all.

And a special shoutout to @theamericanbrew IYKYK. ☕️🫶🏼 If you need a badass locally owned coffee shop, they’re your people.

But OUR AGENTS…

Y’ALL MADE THIS A FREAKING BANGER.

We changed the entire plan with less than 24 hours notice and y’all basically said “heard, see you there.”

And then proceeded to PACK THE PLACE. 😂🍻

So yeah…

Less than 24 hours to pivot ⏰
Surf Rider PACKED ✅
Plan B somehow 10x better ✅

Turns out you can cancel the plan…

but you can’t cancel this crew. 🎤💥

10/10 pivot.

Would absolutely cause this level of organized chaos with y’all again. 😂🍻
