🐎🕊️💍 15th June 2026 💍🕊️🐎

I married the love of my life and my best friend. Again. 🎉

When we set out two years ago to plan a birds and blossoms themed wedding with a pony ringbearer, a dove release, a silent disco, and board games and colouring for entertainment, we could not have even begun to imagine just how beautiful and fun it would be. We can say hands down we have never danced so hard as we did in the evening. 😂 💃

There was so much love, so much laughter, so much gentle joy. Thank you to all the dear ones who came and made our wedding day so magical. We missed everyone who could not be with us. ❤️

Thank you to our dearest Andrea Brooks for conducting the most heartfelt, intimate ceremony we could have asked for.

Thank you to the members of our wedding party who really went above and beyond to make sure we did not have to lift a finger on the day and could just be present with the delight around us. We have very little idea of how you did it but we could see how you were all in twenty places at once and we are beyond grateful.

Thank you to all our vendors for just batting it out of the park. You deserve your own shoutout post for all your brilliant work (that post will be coming soon). We could not have asked for a better team.

Thank you to Quendon Hall for taking such great care of us and our guests, and for providing the most romantic backdrop for us to celebrate our love. From the exceptional care to the water fountain to the wild deer and the delicious food, you really were our dream venue.

As always, I am consistently inconsistent with social media — but back to this series!

Today, Danielle! (Aka @tierlybeloved @livebaking).

In 2016 I moved to “the south” for work.

I started going to classes at @cambridgeswingdance. I met Danielle on maybe the second or third time I attended. She was on the desk and loaned me £10 to become a member. I spent the next week riddled with anxiety about when I’d next see her so I could pay her back and she didn’t think I’d just run off with a tenner and that’s that.

Fast forward 7 years (7!!!). Danielle is one of my nearest and dearests. I’m so glad she loaned me (a random person at the time) a tenner. We’ve # had many many adventures, including teaching together at Nottingjam while she was 8 months pregnant 😂

If you ever need a baker for anything, I can recommend her wholeheartedly.

Thank you @nickywatton for hosting an excellent 2019 edition of Swing Fastival in Torquay this year!

This was my last of 4 weekenders in a row!
.
.
Fun filled parties, and 8 hours of classes with @stevesayer7 and Fancy, with some time with @andreas1936 and @_olga_marina_ too!
.
.
I spent the weekend working on my Shag following in classes, and it was great to gain an added perspective to everything. .
So fun to spend another weekends with @livebaking and family around too - your son is so adorable!
.
I was on DJ duties late on Friday and everyone let their hair down with some high jinks!
.
Swing Fastival, being a residential weekender was hosted this year in a hotel right by the sea, and the views were utterly stunning. .
However, they did have a midnight noise curfew, but, a silent disco was the solution...
... surreal to see people dancing in silence to different songs!
.
Now it's time for me to slowly leave the dance bubble I've been in for the last month...

The recording from this comp will definitely have my loud endorsements of Cambridge included.
I bloody love these two — I’m so lucky to call them friends. And just look at how talented and joyful they are. #teamcambridge

Wow, that was fun! So far, Edinburgh Balboa and Shag Festival has been a blast - thanks @aaharries for making this happen!

This post is a celebration of @livebaking, @eleanoreobst and Cristi, and all of the many awesome folk in the Shag family here this weekend.

@livebaking - you're an amazing friend and dance partner, and it's great to have you back in action!

We competed for the first time together since your son came into the world - considering we haven't had a chance to train at all, so happy with what we shared with everyone - including a role switch!

Many congratulations to @eleanoreobst and Cristi - your victory is well deserved - awesome dance chemistry between you!

Well done to runners up @salty.jitterbugs (Krystal & Alex) - was a pleasure doing battle with you - always tough when going up against your friends!

Thanks to @peterandlauren (Lauren), @nickywatton (Jim), @beeskneeshq, @eglenem
@heikoheckendorn for your expert opinion in judging too - totally appreciate how tough the job is!

Finally thanks again to @livebaking for being awesome, and welcome back!

I'm not the biggest fan of valentines day in the wya it's most commonly celebrated — so I wish you a day of love instead. I hope you're surrounded by people who you adore, be it romantically, friendship, family or other. Have the most wonderful day. 💜🤗
