Did I choose the corniest song for my 2021 highlights? Yes.
Am I beyond grateful these people exist? Even more yes.

“If you were to tell high school me that I would have done all the things I did in university, I would have probably laughed. I remember my grade 12 english teacher telling me that I would not make it far in university. I thought it was true until I joined the Ambassador/Peer Leader program. Little did I know that was the best decision I have made in my undergrad. I gained so much confidence and life long friendships/connections.

As we wrap up our undergrads at home due to COVID-19, the future seems bleak for most with no idea what is going to happen next in our careers. For me, I was suppose to be packing up my life and moving to New York City for Masters. While that dream has been put on hold for the foreseeable future, I find small comforts in looking back at all the fond memories made here at Ontario Tech to remind me that we are a close community and we will all get through this together.

So, 18 year old Nadia and anyone else who may need to hear this right now, brighter days are coming. Until then, remember to be kind to yourself and others”

Class of 2020... we are celebrating during a global pandemic 🎓 It’s bittersweet because we didn’t know that was going to be our last class, or last laugh together in person for a while. But tonight we will have a virtual party on my Instagram as I finished my last exam today 👍🏻 & this live isn’t only for me... but also for everyone else that is supposed to celebrate graduation, or a birthday, or even an anniversary during this pandemic. I am so excited to see everyone and have a drink with you on the live! Once again, I managed to resemble Slash for graduation. Thank you, Meaghan, for all of your hard work in surprising me with props for my Instagram live graduation party! ❤️ (and the gifts, of course😉) #classof2020 #pandemic #pandemic2020 #missrona #corona #graduation #graduationpictures #grad #grad2020
