All the live theatre I saw in PEI in August! So grateful to have been able to support performance art this summer, and see some of my amazing friends and colleagues shine! I got to see"Come From Away" at the Confederation Centre for the Arts with my lovely friend before they moved! I saw my friends and colleagues from earlier in the summer, Jay Whitehead, Aaron Collier, and Richie Wilcox shine in the heartwarming, thought-provoking, and comedic "The Princess Show." Such a lovely and unique experience that I will carry with me. Last (but certainly not least!) I saw the "River Clyde Pageant," with my wonderful mother! Which my friend Razz Matazz performed in, and was directed and conducted by the talented Garry Williams! All in all, such a beautiful summer for theatre and drag in PEI! Support local theatre and art! #peitheatre #independentartist #livetheatre #AtlanticCanadaTheatre #PEIarts

Aaron Collier New Keyboard Music Sunday August 30 7-8pm Parrsboro Bandstand $Free (pass the hat for donations to local charity) “I’m excited to share some new music with folks. I’ll be playing some new compositions, works in progress and improvisations as well as some music from previous shows and records of mine. Expect dreamy ambient worlds, solo piano music, and some forays into electronic rhythms and tones. This live music project is something I’ve been dreaming about for quite some time, and starting with a free outdoor concert at the Parrsboro Bandstand is the perfect way to begin. Come relax and dream on the lawn as the late summer sun sets.”

My good friend multidisciplinary artist, @thechristopherwebb joins me on the podcast again to chat about receiving the Creative Nova Scotia Established Artist award! He discusses the early influence his grandmother had on him when she introduced him to oil painting at age three. Our conversation explores the intersection of art, business, and collaboration as Christopher reflects on significant projects, including selling artwork on the waterfront and a pivotal show with his friend Lennet Anderson. While acknowledging past achievements, Webb expresses excitement about his current work, future projects and lack of a traditional retirement plan. Christopher finds inspiration in his family’s immigration story – making works that explore themes of identity, belonging, and the sacrifices made by his ancestors. He also reflects on the importance of preserving family traditions and recipes, as they evolve and adapt over time. The Creative Nova Scotia Awards are presented by Arts Nova Scotia and the Creative Nova Scotia Leadership Council to celebrate artistic excellence across Mi’kma’ki. Award categories are as follows: * Creative Community Impact * Prix Grand-Pré * Established Artist * Emerging Artist * Black Artist * Indigenous Artist * The Portia White Prize Collectively, the awards are worth $75,000! Visit artsns.ca for more information. This series would not be possible without the fantastic production work of Heist and Keke Beatz. #ChristopherWebb #ArtPaysMe #Podcast #painter #establishedartist

👑✨ THIS is not your average fairy tale. Camp? ✔️ Drag? ✔️ Anime? ✔️ Lip-syncing? ✔️ Psychadelic projections? ✔️ A literal inner monster? Oh, absolutely. 👹🤣 The Princess Show is 70 minutes of outrageous, unexpected, colourful theatre that somehow manages to be hilarious, heartfelt and completely unhinged—in the best possible way. Here’s a little taste… but trust me, the video doesn’t do the full experience justice. 🎭💖 If you’re in Charlottetown, you still have a chance to catch it at The Guild! 👑 #ThePrincessShow #PEITheatre #CanadianTheatre #Drag QueerTheatre #TheatreLovers
