Join us this Saturday as Fairweather Social Club celebrates SatchmoFest with a full day of live music in the courtyard!

The day begins with Ines & Meg at 1:00 pm, followed by Jacob Devaney at 3:00 pm, before Bad Cactus closes out the evening at 7:00 pm with their unmistakable blend of New Orleans-inspired brass, funk, soul, and jazz.

SatchmoFest is a celebration of the music, spirit, and enduring legacy of Louis Armstrong. Spend the day with us enjoying live music, craft cocktails, and the kind of atmosphere that makes Fairweather a favorite gathering place in downtown Prescott.

So much to share from this last month. Sedona, San Francisco, Bend, Utah, and back to Sedona.
Originally I set out from Illinois to spend a month in Taos, New Mexico. The adventure that was born from that has lasted an extra 2 months. I’ll begin my trip back home on July 15, where I’ll reflect on all the old, new, and somewhere-between relationships I’ve nurtured on this pilgrimage.

Thank you to all my hosts on this fundamental journey. Not one night was spent in a hotel. One great thing about getting older is that more people have guest rooms now than they did when we knew each other 16-20 years ago.

I’ve never felt closer to my own story before. This heart is full. Imagining where I’ll help this light shine next.

Lastly, I made this song to remind me how to vibrate. Hoping it does the trick.

One of our favorite things about Rhythms is watching generations experience it together.

While the bands play, you’ll find giant puppets roaming the grounds, families marching in the parade, kids making flags, faces getting painted, hula hoop contests, songs being shared, and future performers stepping up at the Kids Talent Show.

And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Final ticket price increase this Sunday, June 21 at midnight.

Oh, to be a bluegrass kiddo 🌸🌞🌀🍦🥳🧸

One of our favorite festival traditions is the kids' parade, which just celebrated its 30th year today! Throughout the week, the kiddos spend time playing and creating art and costumes in the Family Area, which they then get to show off to the entire festival on Sunday. Fun for all 💞

Before we began our hana, we did our pule (prayer), mele (songs) and asked the ancestors for guidance. Only after the wall was completed did we learn that the large boulders we placed within the wall lined up with the summer and winter solstice and equinox. Each day, different kūpuna came forward to watch over the place and its people. So many families and school groups came forward to kōkua.

We continue to rise to do what we can to take care. This short video gives an idea of how many times certain individuals went out of their way to destroy the rock wall and 'ahu we built. It also shows the many times we collectively came together to rebuild. There is always hope when we have faith, love, compassion and live with aloha.
