Spent the weekend staring into the faces of my friends’ kids and trying not to cry with awe!!!!

Friends we clung to through college when we were all navigating marriage while barely being adults.

Friends we’ve lived so much life with and now rarely get to see in person.

Friends who, two years ago, in the wake of the storm that wrecked our lives and ruined our city, opened their homes and welcomed us with cold beer and lit cigarettes. Warm soup and the clothes off their backs.

Friends whose continued presence can only mean God has been faithful.

Treasure-hunting at High Point 🕰️🪑 We gathered an incredible group of interior designers for our first-ever (dare we say first annual?!) High Point Antiques Crawl. Six stops, countless gems, donut + coffee fuel, and a well-earned toast at Little Pep to end the day. ☕️🍩 🍷

Tbh I don’t know exactly how I found myself here… getting to document these very things ^^ as MY FULL TIME JOB.

Unpopular opinion: I love kids on a wedding day !!! 👶🏼👶🏼👧🏼👦🏼👦🏼

Sure, we love babysitters that can take over as the night dwindles & the party ramps up…

But these cute, sweet, hangry, overtired, (always hilarious) tiny humans add something to your day that no other guests can.

They are completely unpredictable & unscripted, just as they should be. 🫶🏼

You don’t know if the flower girl will lay down during your vows.

You don’t know if the baby will spit up on the bride during photos.

You don’t know if the ring bearer will stay up way past his bedtime so he can breakdance in his pjs.

You just don’t know and I think that’s the beauty of it.

Btw, all said things ^^ did happen… and I loved documenting every second of it. 🤭
