Show Recap: Dixie took Cece to her first ever rated show yesterday at Westbrook Hunt Club. They did the short stirrup eq. division together and then got invited to fill the medals classes so she ended up doing 5 trips and two flat classes. This was the first time she had to memorize longer courses and the first time she rode in a medal class with the added instructions like halting and trotting a jump that Dixie had never seen before. The day was long but I’d call it a big success. Cece would show every weekend if we were able, she had so much fun and enjoyed the stepped up feel of a rated show. We probably won’t be able to do too many this year because of the cost 🫠 but it sure was fun to play for a day. The weather was perfect and the whole @whisperingwillowct crew and their mounts rode beautifully. 💚🤍🐴 Thank you to Morgan and all of our barn friends, parents and supporters that make it all happen and keep us smiling.

And that’s a wrap on Cece’s first @rideiea season! Regionals wasn’t everything she had hoped for, but it’s hard to be disappointed because she rode well today and overall she had a really great season. As a fourth grader she still has eight (!) IEA seasons ahead of her if she wants to stick with it. The future is bright. We are so proud of her and ALL of her @whisperingwillowct teammates. Everyone grew so much over the season. It’s been such a pleasure watching this team succeed together. Good luck at Zones, @liv_equestrian.126 @sophie_s.eq @maddiee_eq_ ! #rideIEA #whisperingwillowIEA #littlerider #proudmom
