My dearest Mckittrick Hotel, what an extravagant dream you’ve been ✨ I’m so grateful for the many life long friendships I’ve made during my stay throughout the years. This place has been a home for me and I’m forever changed because of it. And of course a special thanks to my sweet Clementine, I wouldn’t be who I am without you. 😘

The only word I can think of that sums up my time at @themckittrick is “Magical” ✨

I’ve never had a job like this before and I imagine I never will again. It was as fulfilling as it was challenging.

At the end of the day, what I’ve taken away is so much more than a paycheck. I’ve made some unbelievable memories and I’ve made some life long friends along the way. These are only 20 pictures of what has been countless moments of joy.

Another year, another year-end post, another forced opportunity to take a moment and reflect.
2024 was a banner year, y’all. After how shitty I felt in ‘23, it’s such a fucking relief to look back on this year positively.
Obviously, the colossal milestone was shooting BOXCUTTER. Not only did I come away from that experience with undoubtedly the best DVP movie to date, but also with so many new collaborators and friends whom I love and owe so much to. As of the posting of this, I’m zeroing in on a rough cut and it’s insane.
And even after all the time devoted to making a movie, there was still time to do some other rad stuff. Like release my dear friend Ryan Logsdon’s movie AGONi (which may very well end up being the last @deadvisionreleasing title 🤷🏻‍♂️), shed some blood with @keanuslastname and @corinnehalbert on their amazing SOV short MURDER IN THE PARK, threw the first (and hopefully not the last) DEAD VISION FEST, managed to get SLEAZO out into the world on Blu-ray with a US release from @officialsrscinema and a Japanese release from Video Violence and Gemini Entertainment, and made a crazy new segment with @puppetbucketproductions for Symbolicus Vol. 4.
Creative ambition can be crushing. More often than not, it seems crazy to keep at it. But the good moments keep me going, and this year was full of em. As always, thank you for carrying me through it. I love you all. See you next year ❤️

No string of sappy sentences could possibly encapsulate this experience entirely, but I will ramble regardless.

I am so incredibly fortunate to have completed my first feature with this truly special cast/crew. Feeling like family on set is rare, but that sense was present and palpable from the start.

A ( paraphrased ) quote from the very talented @sarahwaynecallies rings all the more true now… “ Actors can only do dangerous work, if they know they’re safe. “

Making a film of this subject matter and of this intensity doesn’t come for free, but we all chipped in, as a family, and paid the bill. Cannot wait to share our work. Proud of everyone. Love for everyone. Stay fertile.

Honestly, I don’t know what I could ever say to fully articulate my experience these past two weeks. Making movies is really hard, but this group of people made this one of the greatest creative collaborations I’ve ever had. The trust, talent and care they all gave to this production is something I will hold onto forever.

I could go on and on. But I’m gonna go back to sleep now…
