Some women inspire us without even realizing the impact they have on our lives.

A heartfelt congratulations to Veronica Ocasio from the Puerto Rican History Museum on receiving this special recognition at the Latina Expo! A true trailblazer whose dedication to our culture, history, and community continues to inspire so many.

Veronica, thank you for inviting me to be your guest and allowing me to share such a beautiful moment with you.

You have been like a madrina to me, and I don’t even know if you realize how much your presence, encouragement, and example have meant to me.

Sometimes, simply being who you are and showing up for others can inspire someone more than you will ever know.

Gracias por abrirme puertas, por hacerme sentir vista, y por creer en mí.

As I continue growing as an educator, community advocate, and Latina leader, I carry the lessons and inspiration of women like you with me.

May we continue opening doors, making room at the table, and inspiring the next generation of mujeres líderes.

Congratulations, Veronica! You deserve to be celebrated, and I am so grateful to have you in my corner.

The best is yet to come. ¡Pa’lante, juntas!

¡Soy Latina, soy Boricua, y lo llevo con mucho orgullo!

What a beautiful experience at the Latina Expo, surrounded by mujeres poderosas, líderes, trailblazers, and advocates who are breaking barriers, preserving our cultura, and creating opportunities for the next generation.

Walking into the historic Walnut Room at Macy’s was a reminder of how important it is for us to be present in spaces where our voices, stories, and experiences matter.

As a proud Puerto Rican, educator, and community advocate, I believe that our responsibility doesn’t end when a door opens for us. We must hold that door open for others.

Porque no se trata solamente de llegar a la mesa, sino de asegurarnos de que otras mujeres y nuestras niñas también tengan un lugar.

Thank you to the women who continue opening doors for women like me. I hope to use my own platform to uplift others, amplify voices, and inspire the next generation of líderes.

And as I walked away with my Soy Latina bag, I carried more than a gift. I carried gratitude, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Because when one woman rises, we rise together. ¡Pa’lante, mujeres!

Community helping community. Siempre.

Would you still consider yourself beautiful if you couldn’t take into account your physical appearance?

If someone followed you for a day but couldn’t hear anything you said, would they see Jesus?
