🥦 Groenterestjes? Ideaal voor een lekkere soep of saus. 🍌 Overrijpe bananen? Verwerk ze in bananenbrood of muffins. 🥔 Gekookte aardappelen over? Maak er rösti, tortilla of stoemp mee. ❄️ Restjes over?

That Casa no Campo at Kismet kind of feeling…but in someone else’s words: “We stepped into another world that we didn’t want to leave at Kismet! This is the best experience I have stayed in throughout the world. So peaceful, calm, rejuvenating. The perfect experience. We would wake up with fresh coffee and teas and go into the garden to grab fresh strawberries and cucumber for breakfast, along with eggs from the chickens. My little boys would play around the grounds in the tent and play structure. We would walk down to the local beach and come back up for sunset dinners in the greenhouse, followed by a long soak in the wooden hot tub. Pure bliss! We are already dreaming of our return. Thank you!” ***** Feeling in pictures by @lizziemayson

Time travel 🌀 I often find myself travelling through time with the Romisco vines, planted by someone’s hands, for someone elses lips, for their livelihood, but existing today in the very same sand a century later…humanity in flux while the roots of the vines hold fast. You can find a portal to the past in the ancient enchada (back hoe) the neighbour gave us, the handle shiny from a thousand touches and entrusted to us with memories of beloveds, or maybe encountered while using the old basket we collect the eggs in, once a plant transformed into utility through honed skill and out of necessity. Then there’s the spacetime of the days of ritual and tradition, where the familiar, revered acts on repeat condense years into successive days, where we see generations pass and observe each of us quite suddenly growing 365 days older. Or we could travel back beyond the Anthropocene with the fossils we find or watch the eras of extinction layer through a space-time fold that I’m sure exists in the silica ridges of the Equisetum, maybe we’ll peek at the successional inbetween today and the Paleozoic forests. What about the here and now, how the land itself exists within multiple parallel worlds, one moving outside our walls at an unnatural, seemingly fictitious speed, and then there’s the soil and waiting while the grapes turn from green to black, the fruiting cycles, the harvests, a pace apart from the algorithm, a cadence more familiar and true to our DNA than today’s thinking brains can fathom. …continued in comments…

Victoria period home in SW London chose our company and this rare Egeo Ondulato marble for the ogee profile and finesse. We mapped out the design and assembly with mm precision. Late afternoon summer light emphasises the texture within the marble and the colours change beautifully throughout the day. Sitting amongst the white high gloss kitchen panels Egeo Ondulato perfectly complements the space.

Transient ~ If i was the breeze, transient and cool, I’d whisper to you stories of distant lands and those i’ve met along the way. I’d kiss you with salt and bring sweet relief to your sun weary skin. I’d make the flowers dance with the carpenter bees and then muddle together the scents of fennel and lemon blossom…or maybe it’s mint and basil…or perhaps it’s the tomato vines and chives? If I was the breeze i would glide with the swallows and guide the fire flies to punctuate your pathway, maybe I’d be the backing track to the circadas while they sing you to sleep but then, of course, i’d get carried away, because i’m destined to journey and flyaway with the seeds. Appreciating the cool breeze in the garden today and wondering who it kissed first. You’ll find us here on @boutiquehomes this summer and I’ll be at @atelier_citrina this Friday for our botanical printmaking workshop. Link in stories. Images @lizziemayson

Hello from Berlin, with some perfect spring sunshine! Jeany was over the moon to co-host an endless lunch, celebrating the launch of her book ‚Provence’ published by @hoelkerverlag in Germany. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Margaux Arabian from @volkmitte cooked up a stunning menu of modern French cuisine with a twist that paired perfectly with X and Pure. A special call out to the incredible fried oyster with ponzu and yuzu starter, and the tastiest asparagus on buttery puff pastry. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ True to form, this lunch ended on the rooftop well into a glorious afternoon with a lively and interesting crowd, before a pink golden sunset. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Our big thanks to @hoelkerverlag for your support for this event, and we cannot wait to see Jeany‘s book pop up in the bookshops across Germany 🇩🇪 📸: @phnanolopez ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We hope you love our products, please enjoy them responsibly. #Mirabeau #AtHomeinProvence
