Fantastic ending to such a fun night celebrating with so many family and friends for Jessica and I turning the big 5-0. Thanks to Grindstone for letting the old guy rock out with you guys for a few songs, and loved getting to play onstage with Trey!

I never know how to sum up SPEC.

How do you put a week like this into one caption?

These photos are the smiles, the games, the late nights, the laughs, and the moments we happened to catch. But they’re missing so much. They’re missing the conversations in the hallways, the inside jokes that somehow became everyone’s jokes, the friendships that were made in just a few days, and all the little moments that end up meaning the most.

Every year I leave exhausted, a little emotional, and wondering how one week can feel so short and so life-changing at the same time.

SPEC has a way of bringing people together unlike anything else. It reminds you to be a little louder, laugh a little harder, cheer a little more, and appreciate the people around you a little longer.

To every camper, staff member, volunteer, and person who made this week what it was, thank you. You made this year’s SPEC one I’ll never forget.

Already missing it. 💙
