$My extremely talented models from the “Death Becomes Me” runway, all the back in October 2024. Inspired by the many creative ways one can perish on the mortal plane, this runway aimed to capture the shocking beauty that can be found in such grisly, sometimes even comical demises. I had every model meet with me personally to describe the death that they would feel fit their modeling persona, and then created a design for them based off of said death. This process was fun, allowed me to get to know my models better, and offered the unique opportunity for a model to have input on their looks for the runway. This collection was a labor of love and involved a mixture of up cycling thrifted pieces, creating things from scratch, and a hell of a lot of rhinestones. Almost everything the models are wearing have been painstakingly encrusted in stones and beaded for movement when walking. I used things like shibari rope to represent guts, waterfalls of blood, and more, as I wanted this collection to be clearly dark but not outright gory. $EVERY LOOK OF 2024✨❤️‍🔥 (almost!) _________________ 2024 taught me a lot of painful lessons. Namely, who did and didn’t truly know me as a person or my true character. Those that know who I am know that vicious rumors hold no truth and are borne of misunderstanding and the refusal to attempt clarification. I know who will never sit at my table again, and who has permanent spots. I’ve made such supportive, loving friends this past year and I can’t wait to foster my new and old, TRUE friendships in 2025. I did a fucking LOT this year! I joined Noir Society, modeled in 2 fashion shows, designed an entire October show, started drag and have consistently booked multiple gigs on a monthly basis, I went back to clubs that I used to love and have made a name for myself in these alt spaces. I celebrated my fourth year with my two incredible, loving partners, I have a job that I love now, I got back into cosplay and into jojo and it’s brought me such warmth and peace— I forgot how big a part of my life that series has been!! Goals: -Continue to bulk up and tone my body. GET TOP SURGERY! -Put on some SHOWS. Produce a few. Design another runway’s worth of art again. -Get back into cosplay and conventions 🫶🏻 -Show up to faire again in full force, looking better than ever, with new characters, costume pieces, and a newfound confidence. I will no longer fear the places that have brought me peace for many, many years because of people that do not matter to me any longer and never supported me to begin with. I will come play, and my joy at doing so cannot and will not be ignored. 🖤 -Keep doing my damn thing. Nobody can keep me from the spaces I was born to be a part of. I will always have opportunities and I am grateful for the people that give them to me. I’ll see all of you in this new, better year. I already have big things coming and I can only hope the same for all of my loved ones. $Here it is. The FULL RUNWAY from “Death Becomes Me”, a collection designed and created by yours truly that showcases the many ways one can die, presented in a glamorous light. Every single model killed it. I’m so proud of my team, I’m proud of @noirsocietydtx as a whole, every single person had a hand in making this happen and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much to @djlordbyronofficial for DJing the show, having a host to announce things and control the music as masterfully as you did made a HUGE difference in the atmosphere!! As a designer, one’s first full show is always nerve-wracking, but I think I can safely say this: I’m proud of myself. It takes a lot for me to genuinely be proud of the work I present sometimes, it may not come off like that but I second, triple, and quadruple guess almost every single thing I do as a creative. However Thursday night was a TRIUMPH and I can happily say it was overall a resounding success. Thank you SO MUCH to every single person involved, I couldn’t be happier.
