When the sun goes down our stages turn into heaving dancefloors.

Bodies moving beneath the hull of a vessel whose tales are steeped in untold tales. Lights rippling across like we’re partying in some hidden world below deck. ⚓️

It’s been ten years of shaping this unique space and it keeps evolving. Massive shoutout to our visual mapping crew and projection mapping artists merging art, digital design and vision.

Come by Waitangi weekend to see how this team weaves visual art, dancers and performers, until the whole dancefloor feels like one living, breathing organism.

They don’t call us a boutique festival for nothing.
Share this with your mates who love a proper dance floor 🪩

𝑀𝑒𝑒𝓉 Lombo:

Lombo, the artistic persona of Gabriel Marmelo, is a visionary in the VJ scene, renowned for seamlessly blending visuals and music into a mesmerizing, multi-sensory experience. His performances transform spaces into immersive worlds of motion, colour, and energy.

On April 18th, at Ilektronik Sangeet’s matinée, Lombo will take full control of the visuals, crafting a dynamic spectacle that enhances every beat. At his last session, he innovatively used six surveillance cameras to capture and project live moments, adding a new dimension to the experience.

Don’t miss the chance to witness his remarkable talent at Miradouro de Baixo—secure your tickets now via Shotgun or Resident Advisor.

About time I did a post for @shipwreckednz 🌊

This festival has been one very close to my heart over the years, truly an amazing piece of collaborative art.. all round top notch, totally up there with the best.

Ive been given the reigns of mapping the two stages there, and super proud of how it all came together for this one. Mainstage was absolutely rocking... Mapping 5 surfaces, incl doing a full video shoot of the crew in the build, to project their silhouettes in the windows of our Port Te Arai Tavern. Boat visuals are going places, we have now 3D modelled the boat thanks to @pucknz and got big plans for the 10 year anniversary next year.

Hidden reef was just a gem, so much coral delight and pretty lights. Big up @dylanc_c and @maria.hallweger for the vision and curation of the space there.

Also shout out to @miakober for her vision at mainstage and team that absolutely smashed it @oliver_liddell, @innerwisdom.health
@lena_jane_ @beckymoon_ @indulis.bekmanis and all the rest.

Big shout-out to all the Visual crew @pucknz, @jbaxternz and my partner in crime @llama.lab for all the visuals, all the late nights and mahi that goes on behind the scenes 🙏🙏 this year was outstanding all round. You all smashed it.

Shout out to @logan_bakernz for steering the ship and trust to create and bring these ideas to life. Big up bro your a solid human.

Next year we gunna put @shipwreckednz on the map for the being the best mapped festival in the the southern hemisphere. Watch this space 🐠🪸👀

Yeeoooww what a festival! Huge shout out to Captain @logan_bakernz and the crew for pulling off another epic Shipwrecked yet again!

Shipwrecked really is about the community and all the amazing, creative crew who band together to make it happen, the music, lighting, production, art, decor, logistics… they were all next level!

And just as importantly all the legendary humans who buy tickets and support… showing up in their epic, creative costumes and bringing the froth!

Such an incredible crew of scallywags surface every year! I reckon 2024 was the best yet. Bring on 2025!

P.s I hear Earlybird tickets may be coming on sale soon- get in quick for a special deal 😉 🏴‍☠️
