𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀!: Yesterday, I had the pleasure of going to @llccedu Lincoln Land Community College in Taylorville and talking to the Taylorville Junior High School 8th graders about opportunities in the trades.

Of course we had to have some fun with some screwgun races, which the students always appreciate 😁👍

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄!: I've had the pleasure of knowing Jeff for a long time and we've been able to help students take that next step after high school for a while now. He's the man to know. 😁👍

Today, our 2026 Intern Spotlight features Parker Fox, our IT Systems Analyst Intern in Retirement Solutions! Parker is looking forward to learning as much as possible and gaining valuable experience this summer.

A fun fact about Parker: he got his name from Spider-Man’s last name!

AUGUST MEANS NEW BEGINNINGS for the Sims/Sweeney fam & God’s hand has been ALL OVER IT! 🙏

There is NO better confirmation that you are running through the doors God is swinging open for you than when the enemy is running behind, TRYING to take you out … BUT as my amazing Pastor @lashondarobinsonap said just now, “What God keeps HELL CANNOT DESTROY!” Amen.

So what exactly does this mean for us?

My queen graduates this Saturday from @univofalabama after 4 of 6 semesters on the Dean’s list to begin her new life & her 1st new marketing job in KNOX.

My handsome will continue his awesome job at @s2faction, begin his 1st year in Exercise Science at @llccedu & continue training for his 1st body building competition! 💪

I simply could not be more proud of these two resilient & passionate humans that I was blessed to raise.🤍

AND it’s time for this momma to also spread her wings & fly. As God would have it, he has recently been slamming doors and flinging others wide open - so while I thought things would look different for this year ahead, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the future we are all about to step into. An unexpected godly connection months back through a dear friend took a twist & turn a couple of weeks ago and in obedience to following God’s will, he has since revealed that he will be landing me close to my girl earlier than expected! So by the end of August, I too will be calling KNOX home!

It’s truly amazing when you STOP doing things in your own strength, actually allowing God to work in your life, what he can do!!! 👏🔥

So tonight, ahead of tomorrow’s early morning departure for our last big trip to BAMA, brings the 3msktrz to our very last evening all together in a home that has seen us through more in these last 3 years & 3 months than any of our many moves. To look back & see how God has so lovingly restored and grown us all up through every trial here is a blessing we are beyond grateful for. We will forever treasure these moments & the lifelong friendships we’ve made these last 11yrs in SPR.

We are not standing because we are strong, we are standing because we have been kept by the power of God!!! PTL.

Thank you Lincoln Land for having me this summer for mobility classes for your staff! 🫶🏼

I always had a fun group show up and we got a great 30 minute routine every time 🧘🏻‍♀️

I always incorporate full body mobility (spine, hips, shoulders, etc), some light core, hip and shoulder stability, as well as some balance 💪🏼. I teach these classes on Fridays at the clinic in Chatham, and also offer workplace wellness classes.

Feel free to reach out if you’d ever like to attend a class or have me come to your workplace 📲

The work doesn’t stop when the season ends.

Congratulations to our eight Loggers who earned academic honors this semester!

We’re proud of the commitment these young women show in the classroom every day. Excellence isn’t just measured on the field.

The Physics Department of Lincoln Land Community College sure took care of its equipment. This timer was built in 1965, two years before the college was founded.
