Had a “pool party” for my soul sisters from our Costa Rica retreat. It rained when we were in CR so it was appropriate that it was raining today. Didn’t dampen out spirits or our laughs. This week is one of the hardest as I prepare to lay my dad to rest, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that one friend who never lets me go through it alone. @njmeli She always finds a way to make me laugh when I least expect it and puts a smile on my face no matter what.

Every year, I’m overwhelmed in gratitude by the love I receive on my birthday, but this year, it was the abundance of prayers that truly made me reflect.

In 2024, I gave my life to Christ and it’s been the most transformative year of my life. I thought I was doing good, but God showed me he could do better. His love, grace, and guidance have brought me this far, I’m in awe of how He’s using me.

This weekend, I was reminded of how powerful surrendering to God is. My life isn’t perfect, nor am I, but I understand where he has brought me from, what he has brought me through and I trust in where he is taking me. I want to be an example of how good it gets, with God.

THANK YOU to everyone who made me feel loved all year but especially over my birthday. Love you guys 🥹.

Leaving you with a couple lessons I’ve taken from this past year.

1. Ships are safe at harbor but that’s not what they are built for. Sail!
2. If it costs you your peace, it’s too expensive.
3. Leadership is service, not control.
4. You’re never too experienced at anything to learn more.
5. Your mindset determines your success.
6. As a parent, love is shown in presence, not perfection.
7. Rest is productive, don’t feel guilty for it.
8. God’s way > my way.
9. Set boundaries without apologizing.
10. Never regret having a good heart. All good things come back multiplied.
11. Consistency beats talent every time.
12. Success is sweeter when shared, collaborate often.
13. Gratitude attracts abundance. Be grateful on purpose.
14. You can do anything but not everything. Focus.
15. Teach your children values, not just skills.
16. Vulnerability is a strength, it connects and heals.
17. Impossible is an option.
18. Those small wins add up.
19. Learn to pivot, not quit.
20. Never dim your light.
21. Give without expecting anything in return.
22. Progress and direction is more important than speed and perfection.
23. Your community is your greatest asset, pour into it.
24. Listen to understand, be empathetic.
25. There’s a difference between a good idea and a God idea
26. Pray about everything and worry about nothing.
27. Once you realize rejection is God’s protection, life willl be so sweet for you.
