i was totally attracted to the sinuous, chubby, fun and tactile style of these rings. the contrast between gold, silver and platinum makes them all the more whimsical, and the effect is extremely pleasing to the eye.

to me, in this case, the gemstones are the cherry on top, creating the most delicious effect.

There’s a tension I love in the Alara ring by @lloydstevenworld : sleek and edgy all at once. A 1.2ct oval diamond, set vertically into eight radiating spikes of yellow gold, the band flowing straight into the setting as one continuous, sculptural form.

Very tactile start of September. Unfamiliar and a very family affair. Horrendous nails but that’s a sign of the tactility(?) which I’m trying very hard to embrace. Never trust a man without calluses, type of thing. Cutting the boys hair with the kitchen scissors? New favourite craft.
