Last month I went to a James Bond fan even themed around the 1979 Bond film Moonraker in Newtown, PA, a place we’ve had many events before. This was hosted by @thebondexperience and he gave away a bunch of goodies like clothes, books, magazines, toys, collectibles, posters and artwork. I took a ton of stuff to add to my collection. The focus of the event was of course a screening of Moonraker at the Newtown Theater, the oldest running theater in the country. This was my second time seeing a Bond film there, we had a screening of Thunderball in August of last year. Like last year with Thunderball, this was an upscaled version of Moonraker in 4K with updated sound as well. It looked and sounded great and it was my first time seeing Moonraker on a big screen. There’s something different about watching a Bond film with other fans because we get all the details and little jokes and celebratory moments. A lot of people dressed up with their versions of the different outfits Roger Moore wore in the film and various other characters like Jaws, Dolly and the main villain Hugo Drax. After the film we headed down the street to Temperance House, a historic Inn and tavern where we usually gather after events we have out there and some people stay there. This was a fun time and sharing these moments with great friends makes it that much better. #jamesbond #007 #moonraker #rogermoore #jamesbondfan

#gatherallwest evening event.

As someone that has always supported the community from afar and was a little apprehensive of meeting individuals in person after years of social media interaction, it was a shocking evening. EVERYONE was even better in person.

This community is incredibly welcoming, thoughtful, funny and gracious. It was truly an amazing experience and I hope it’s just the beginning. For anyone that is hesitant about attending a Gatherall, please consider going as it really does make you feel apart of something bigger and you get the opportunity to connect with amazing people.

Trying to balance being present and taking photos was something I probably failed at, so for anyone I missed grabbing a photo with or forgot to tag, let’s correct that next time 🫡

Lastly, @toliveandletdieinla - @thebondexperience - thank you for all the hard work and kind words, the community is fortunate to have leaders like you. 🥃

Gatherall West was a massive success, so many great conversations and memories made. California is a great way to celebrate Bond and the Community was really thriving.
Videos will be coming soon, so make sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel so you don’t miss out on the fun.

I left GoldenEye a week ago, and can’t stop thinking about what an amazing time I had there. THANK YOU so much to @thebondexperience for organizing 5 amazing days of fun in paradise, as well as the amazing staff of the @goldeneye resort in Orabaessa, Jamaica who made every moment on the property luxuriously effortless 🏝️

Aside from the breathtaking natural surroundings, the amazing accommodations, the world class food and drink, and the supremely engaging events dreamed up by David, the camaraderie amongst the members of the Bond community (and the significant others who patronized our boyish fantasies) was truly astounding. Whether an old or new friend, everyone on this trip was truly lovely company, even while struggling to stay afloat in a moonlit lagoon with a cigar in one hand and a bottle of rum in the other 🍹

All this talk of vehicles…
-
Bond is filled with moments of excitement and thrill when it comes to the cars. They literally drive the mission forward (no pun intended).
-
I highly recommend you checking out @thebondexperienc’s newest videos talking about @bondinmotion’s newest exhibit at the @spymuseum, as well as 007 Science @msichicago. @bondlifechicago also has a great article about the same experience.
-
Ive had my fair share of experiences up close and personal with some great Bond friends, when Bond In Motion came to Los Angeles.

What a weekend! GATHERALL 4 in Fairfield, New Jersey. Such a great opportunity to “bond” with other fans, some for the first time and others who I haven’t seen since Operation: Snowfall in Toronto. Big “Thank You” to David Zaritsky @thebondexperience and Joe Darlington @beingjamesbond for a great event! Shout out to Bud West @thebondbrain for organizing the Bond Cigar Lounge to jumpstart the weekend’s activities.
