Lebanon Trip 2026 | Part 3

Beirut, you are forever in my heart and on my mind. ❤️‍🔥 We spent three days in the city and it was exactly what our souls needed.

📍A little shopping in the @beirutsouks and coffee at @thebackburner in the Saifi Village. 🛍️☕️

📍Checked into @arthausbeirut in Gemmayze. A multigenerational family estate turned art-centric boutique hotel, built on the grounds of an ancient Roman villa. This hospitality gem is dripping with art, culture and history… and it will be my home any time I’m in Beirut. 🏺🖼️

📍A delicious Italian lunch at @babbalucibeirut 🍕🍷

📍An evening of fun and dancing at @capitolebeirut with the cousins, ending with a late night bite at the legendary @barbar.restaurant 🕺🏽🌯

📍Pool day at the @karenwazenbeachclub 🥥👙

📍Epic multi-course dining experience at @lmatbakh.lb . This thoughtfully curated meal was one of our favorite culinary adventures of the trip—from the incredible flavors to the exceptional service. It’s the kind of place that makes me so proud to be Lebanese and a hospitality girly. 🍽️

⁨RANDOMS - Episode 6 📍 Beirut

This time, it’s all about Beirut — the lunches and dinners that completely won me over. A few were so good, I had to go back.

The food genuinely surprised me. Familiar dishes, but with ingredients, cooking, and flavours that felt completely their own. Add incredible service, the warmest hospitality, and atmospheres where no two places felt alike.

Beirut, you were one delicious experience.

هالمرة من بيروت

غدا وعشا، وأماكن من كثر ما لذيذ الأكل فيها رجعت لهم مرة ثانية.

بصراحة، بيروت بهرتني بالأكل.
طعم، مكونات، طبخ، خدمة واهتمام بالتفاصيل… حتى الأطباق اللي نحسبها عادية، هناك كانت غير.

وكل مطعم له شخصيته وأجواؤه، ولا واحد يشبه الثاني.

بيروت، كانت تجربة أكل على مستوى ثاني.

L Matbakh, Beirut, Lebanon. A contemporary Lebanese restaurant by chefs Christine Saad and Elie Harb. The concept combines traditional Lebanese dishes using modern techniques. Classics such as hummus and fattoush are presented in a more creative way. The open kitchen makes the experience more interactive. Service was knowledgeable and warm.

Reinvented Classics

Last winter, in Lebanon, I recognized “L Matbakh” — one of my vocabulary words, meaning “The Kitchen” — on a restaurant sign, and we stumbled in based on that alone for dinner. Best accident of the trip.

The concept captivated me: traditional Lebanese home cooking, reimagined. The proof is this drink, “Manouchet Zaatar” — named for the quintessential Lebanese breakfast flatbread, somehow poured into a glass. Familiar flavor, completely new form. There was something so unusual yet so fun about savoring it this way.

The restaurant L Matbakh not only honors traditional Lebanese flavors but also embodies the heart of Lebanese culture: the joy of gathering, the graciousness of hosting, and the connection that comes from sharing food. All of these elements come together in L Matbakh.

Within this series, I captured the reinvented classic in contrast with the original inspiration — L Matbakh, in a traditional Lebanese home.
