Full Time 🔚
-
Curzon Ashton 1-4 Macclesfield
-
Pemberton (Own Goal) 11’
Peers 23’
Peers 53’
Arnasalam 74’
Campbell 77’
-
Another Good performance from Macclesfield today in what was a second half masterclass today.
-
First Half we struggled to get through Curzon Ashton, they were intercepting our passes our runs we couldn’t get through.
-
In the 11th minute Curzon took the lead the ball was crossed into the box and Tre Pemberton headed the ball into the net going past a stretching Max Johnstone.
-
From there it was like something clicked for Macc we started playing well, getting in and behind the Curzon Defence, and it payed off Tom Peers grabbing the equaliser against his former club 1-1.
-
Second Half Macclesfield Carved Curzon Ashton open, Controlled the midfield the wingers were causing them trouble and the fall backs with there overlaps.
-
The Goal came Tom Peers again, he’s looking like a really good poacher infront of goal takes the ball around the keeper and slots it in for 1-2.
-
Controlled the game even more had a few more chances a free kick from Hayden Campbell just going wide, Tom Peers denied a hat trick by the offside flag.
-
Our 3rd goal came from our very first goal score in Macclesfield FC history, Leon Arnasalam came of the bench and put a star performance in. Just like Peers second goal took it around the keeper and slotted it in for 1-3.
-
3 minutes later we make it 1-4 Hayden Campbell scoring, scrappy goal everyone trying to clear it and Hayden just smashed it past the keeper and through the centre backs legs who was on the goal line.
-
Very good performance against a league above can’t wait for the season to start now .
