One step, one gesture, one thought. Mood Cocoon is an interactive installation where light continuously transforms in response to human motion and EEG signals. As participants move through the space, and in some experiences, wear an EEG device. The environment adapts in real time, creating a dialogue between the body, the mind, and light. Rather than asking visitors to simply observe, Mood Cocoon invites them to become part of the system, exploring how movement and brain activity can shape immersive, multisensory experiences. #MoodCocoon #InteractiveDesign #LightingDesign #CreativeTechnology #newmedia

Second year presenting with the besties in TypeLab at Typographics 2026, and somehow two presentations in one week here in NYC! ✨ I can’t thank you, Halim, Soo Min and Forough enough for bringing so many inspiring multiscript projects into the class. Watching them come to life has been such a joy, and my beloved students continue to amaze me with their talent, curiosity, and dedication. Huge thanks to Gen and others for all the support, and to all the friends who came to the lecture and cheered us on. 💛 Off to the next chapter! Forever love. xoxo 🍊🍎 #typelab #typography #graphicdesign #typographics #nyc

Through a seamless interplay of light, sound, and responsive atmospheres, the installation formed a living environment shaped by movement and presence. Light, interaction, and music intertwined to create moments of calm, reflection, and subtle emotional shift. A private session on Saturday extended the installation through EEG sensing and motion tracking, exploring new connections between body, perception, and space. Tone in Tongue is now on view at the Maryland Institute College of Art from October 20 to November 14! Culture, like a shadow, shifts and transforms over time. The Chinese idiom “如影随形” rú yǐng suí xíng (“as the shadow follows the form”) evokes this fluid and intimate relationship—one element inseparably linked to another. Tone in Tongue adopts this metaphor to explore the deep interconnection of East Asian visual culture, tracing how shared histories and distinct, aesthetic identities continue to resonate in contemporary design.
