J'macon Luvv and I attended the final show of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Sr." Shauna Shaefer was the Music Director, Larisa Reams was the Stage Manager, Brad Paul was the ASM, and Morrie Enders was the Director. This was also Morrie's final performance as our Executive Director at the Lincoln Community Playhouse. This production had all his wonderful and funny jokes.

In the words of my bestie, "This show is a hit!! Don't think because it says it's a senior show, that it's slow paced and everyone is lethargic. Far from it! Yes, this show is filled with people of a certain age, but they are all at the top of their game. There was even one audience member who told us she saw the show yesterday, and had to come back to see it again today, just because it was so much fun, and so funny. This show was upbeat, rhythmic, the story was told very well, and was very funny. It was definitely worth seeing!"

Sept 13, 2026: Morrie Enders Retirement Social, Program, and Reception at the Lincoln Community Playhouse. My favorite part was surprising him with the naming of the MORRIE ENDERS STAGE in the OLIVER T. JOY THEATRE. I was so honored to be on the Planning Committee with Christine Cottam, Larisa Reams, Maralee Wylder Maldavs, Jeff Maldavs, Julie Beranek Enersen, Lauren Silverman Durban, and Barbara Armstead. I had FUN coordinating the food with Pat Raybould, Eric Schafers, and Seng Boutdy from Russ's Market and setting up and restocking the food trays with Michelle Zinke: veggies, fruit, charcuterie, hummus, brownies, and mini cupcakes. We also had simply amazing cookies created by Steph Chuksadoon. As stated my bestie, J'macon Luvv, "Best damn retirement party I have ever been to in my entire life. And Morrie is well worth it!" WE LOVE YOU, MORRIE ENDERS!!!

It was an honor to attend the Mourning Hope Wonder Women 2026 Cocktail Party at the Country Club of Lincoln, meet the Mourning Hope staff (especially Lauren Silverman Durban), and listen to the amazing impact of this nonprofit.

I enjoyed spending time with Elizabeth-Ali M. Schade, our Incoming Executive Director of the Lincoln Community Playhouse, and introducing her to my dear friends, Kristin Marie, Jan Bretz, and Lori Farrell Wellman. We also met Pam Dinneen, the Founder of Mourning Hope.

Mourning Hope Grief Center of Lincoln provides a support network for children, teens, adults, and families before and after a death loss.
