Make them green with envy.

Meet the Studio Tiles from @mahjong_atelier , their latest set. I honestly can’t decide which I love more — the fronts or the backs. The backs feature a gorgeous, rich green with white swirls, while the modern faces bring together sage green, charcoal grey, and coral red. It’s an unexpected color combination that works really beautifully together. The set also comes with a fantastic vegan leather tile pouch. I’m extremely grateful to Mahjong Atelier for sending me this set.

The clear racks are from Mahjong Atelier, too. At 17.5”, they’re shorter than my usual racks, which is exactly what I was looking for. They come with a canvas storage bag AND two sets of pushers — clear and tortoiseshell. At $99 for everything, I think they’re a fantastic value.

The beautiful dice dish is from @miseenmahjong, crafted from natural travertine. I love its organic feel and the texture it brings to the table. I know that I will use this often.

And tying everything together is the gorgeous Tulis Fern leatherette mat from @lo___and___co. I have 2 mats from her collection and honestly want hem all. This one is currently in stock — hurry!

My friend @missykgreenberg graciously invited me to photograph and play with her Nana’s stunning tiles. (OK, it’s possible I invited myself.) Freda (pronounced Fred-uh) was elegant and stylish and passed her love of late-night game playing on to her beautiful and talented granddaughter. She would have been 111 last week. What’s more beautiful than a game and tradition that is passed down from generation to generation? Thank you to Nana and all of the mahjong grandmothers. May her memory (and their memories) always be for a blessing. 🦩 Tiles: vintage triple-layered lucite • Mat: @tigre_de_tartan Domino Faded Carolina • Racks: @lo___and___co • Dice dish: @nell.mv • BTS styling: @leighlibling and @carlywattallen #mahjong #mahjongstyle #vintagemahjong
