Me watching the stars. This was my first night attempting long exposure night photography. Tried my best to capture the Milky Way galaxy. We were on Dantes View 5,575 feet above sea level. This point is directly over my previous post of me standing 282 feet below sea leavel in bad water basin. I'm pretty proud of my first attempt. The moon and the planets were pretty bright so was tough to get the shot of the stars. #nightphotography #astrophotography #deathvalley #deathvalleynationalpark #camping #dantesview #badwaterbasin #furnacecreek

My second volunteer, @loarcaphotography also helped with this lighting project. He not only volunteered for the shoot, but also helped set up the lighting and the stage. Thanks for the help, David.

I’ll start with I know, I know… it’s a Padres hat. I actually like it so I used it for a lighting concept workshop. The idea was to use a blue gel to light the majority of the shot and then an orange gel to light the face only. The cap then forms a line/shadow across the face, which allows the blue in. Overall. I’m satisfied with the outcome. Thanks for this great shot @loarcaphotography !!

We had a lighting concept in mind and tried to recreate it. We kept messing with the light intensity and the placement of the soft boxes. In the end, we had a lot of different outcomes. Here’s a few of them. It also could’ve been that the equipment refused to work for a Padres fan 🤷🏽‍♂️
