NOEMA brings together five artists from different disciplines to create a live improvised audiovisual experience where sound and image emerge in real time. The ensemble features André Verissimo (gongs, shruti box, monochord, singing bowls and percussion), Paul Cheneour (flutes), Matt Dear (electronics and guitar), Scott Wyllie (electronics and double bass), and Sophie Wyllie (audio-reactive visuals). Drawing upon their individual practices and influences, the artists meet in a shared space of listening, exploration and spontaneous creation.

The artists respond moment by moment to one another, allowing each performance to evolve organically. Layers of acoustic and electronic sound intertwine with evolving visual landscapes, creating an immersive experience.

The work of NOEMA explores the relationship between perception and experience. Through the interplay of stillness, rhythm, texture and movement, the artists create an environment that invites attention and curiosity. As sound and image continuously influence one another, individual moments emerge, dissolve and transform, revealing a living artwork that exists only in the present moment.
