The highlight of the day was meeting our server Kiana. If you come by the Kahala CPK I recommend you ask for this Aloha-embracing Wahine who treat us with special kind.

This morning we spoke about Aloha and it’s meaning of hello, goodby also kindness, love and affection.

Bruce from @localmover in Hawaii saw the post and responded.

This is the back story. When we first arrived and not sure if it was Saturday or Sunday we were standing on the corner waiting for the crossing light to change. The trolley was crossing and we looked on the top floor and this couple was sitting up front with big colorful glasses and the gentleman had on a distinctive face mask. He did the Aloha hand gesture and waved at our grandson. We then all went on our way.

Fast forward to this morning and because we posted the Aloha hand gesture and our newly acquired knowledge of its meaning Bruce not only sent us a wonderful message he also sent Caring Hands Sarcoidosis Foundation a generous donation.

After some additional communications he graciously invited all of us to dinner before leaving. We truly wish that could have happened but we are grateful for our new Hawaiian connection.💜💜💜
