@natg_photos has been capturing this community for us since it was established as ‘True Light Yoga’ LLC in 2022 and we are loving all the magic she caught this time around 🥹.

This past week marked 5 months open in a brick and mortar space for TLY and we couldn’t be more grateful for the ways in which we’re growing. 🥲🙏🏼

That growth goes beyond these 4 walls and physical poses seen here. It’s the fear being released, the connections with others, and remembrance of our essence, that is the practice at hand. And we’re doing it with joy, love, playfulness and cheering each other on, whether you’ve been in the room with us, or not, we’re rooting for you. 🙏🏼🤍

Fear is the cheapest room in the house.
I would like to see you living in better conditions,
For your mother and my mother
were friends.
I know the Innkeeper
In this part of the universe.
Get some rest tonight,
Come to my verse again tomorrow.
We’ll go speak to the friend together.
I should not make any promises right now,
But I know if you
Pray
Somewhere in this world -
Something good will happen.
God wants to see
More love and playfulness in your eyes
For that is your greatest witness to Him.
Your soul and my soul
Once sat together in the Beloved’s womb
Playing footsie.
Your heart and my heart
Are very, very old
Friends.

My page says Yoga in it so why post weighted ball slams?

Women need weight training for STRENGTH to do life. Yoga marketing can make you think that the body weight exercises in postures are enough. Science has proved that wrong.

I am 61 and want to increase my #healthspan as I advance my level towards 62 and beyond 👊 It’s about function like carrying my beach gear myself, putting my suitcase in the overhead without help, picking up grandchildren without pulling out my back and beyond. It is why training with @localstudioworkout is as important as a doctor appointment!

One of my mentors and yoga teacher trainers from 2007 @chryskubfityogatherapy is an expert in guiding women in strength training. Check out her page and online programs - she lives it and is amazing 🌟

@ginaontheloose is another resource who I recommend you follow. She led my Level Up Retreat that ignited my renewed belief that I have so much more life to live fully forward 🔥

These 3 powerful brilliant & fun strong women all past “level50” are my 3 top resources for building 🏋️‍♂️💪 with flexibility too.

2024… the year True Light Yoga, a community for a long time coming, got its brick + mortar space in OCNJ.

Whether you’ve come to the studio for a drop in, are a member, or practiced with us in AUS, CO, or elsewhere virtually, thank you.To all of you who made this year what it was. And for letting us be the voice behind your practice.

Here’s to another year of community, embodiment, + bliss. 🙏🏼🤍✨
