The most powerful legacy stories aren’t simply told, they’re felt. Caldwell Vineyards in Napa Valley is one of those places.

Time spent at Caldwell in the Coombsville AVA means unforgettable stories, genuine connection, plenty of laughs, and the kind of inspiration that goes far beyond the views and pours. (Genuinely love everything they produce.)

It’s a reminder that your legacy is built in the moments you refuse to play small- - when you choose courage over comfort and go all in on the life you were meant to live.

If you’ve never experienced Coombsville, put @caldwellvineyard on your itinerary. Come for the wine, but don’t be surprised if you leave inspired to be brave to go for what it is you really want in this lifetime.

I hope you let go of something on your next trip. I hear these a lot and I hope this reminds you of the adventure of this life we get to live. 💛

Here’s what I mean:

“I don't eat that” - let go, and try it

“I don't stay at fancy places” - let go, book a weekday once

“I don't like history” - let go, learn to appreciate perseverance

“I don't like events” - let go, reimagine what you gain from it

“I don't camp” - let go, go glamping 😉

“I don’t have time before dinner” - let go, plan for the gold 🌅

Hope this helps shift your mind a bit on your next adventure. The narratives we repeat become a part of who we are. If you don’t like something, let go of that narrative. 😘

Why wine country dinners in Healdsburg are good for the soul.

Tomato Sagra at @littlesainthealdsburg with @a16sf / @a16napa for one night during peak Sonoma tomato season was the closest I'd get to Italy this summer. 🍅

Human connection over food, wine and great company is good for the soul. Say yes to the long table. Say yes to a 3-course of new flavors, new varietals and tomatotinis.

I’ve been grieving my aunt this summer, and this table gave me what I didn’t know I came for: an overflow of inspiration all around the room, on the plate, in the glass and in the convos.

I loved meeting Shelley Lindgren and Kitty Oestlien, co-founders of @tansywines , a label owned by women, built by friends.

There’s nothing quite like filling your evening and heart with conversations, design and people who dared to pour into their dreams in hospitality. It simply fills my bucket.

Have you been to @littlesainthealdsburg or @a16napa ? 🫶

A visit to Monticello for our friend’s 40th birthday weekend in Napa Valley was the perfect way to kick off 48-hours together!

@corleyha of @monticellonapa shared the morning with us and gave us a full breakdown from harvest to bottle.

If you're looking for a family-owned and operated winery with easy access to Downtown Napa, you’ll find @monticellonapa just down Big Ranch Rd, parallel to Silverado Trail and tucked away in the Oak Knoll district.

Have you had their cabs and pinots here before? Let me know!

Tonight I got a first look inside Matrix, a new downtown Napa lounge opening September 4.

The original Matrix was part of San Francisco nightlife for decades, and now founder Dante Javar is bringing it to Napa Valley.

Think dark red velvet, dramatic lighting, cocktails designed almost like culinary experiences, Champagne, late-night food, and a space intentionally made for lingering.

And on Friday and Saturday nights, Duwende, from the team behind Winston’s Napa, brings a late-night menu with Filipino influences.

Some of the most memorable evenings in Napa Valley happen around one table.

Thank you, Joy Caldwell, for the invitation to such a thoughtful vintner dinner. It was a privilege to spend the evening with Mario Moreno, Estate Manager at JFC, learning more about the vineyards, the vintage, and the care that goes into every bottle.

The menu was a beautiful reflection of the season, beginning with heirloom tomatoes, compressed cucumber, whipped chèvre and pickled onion alongside the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve. A Brentwood corn and Australian black truffle risotto paired beautifully with the 2022 Pinot Noir, followed by braised beef short rib with confit garlic polenta, Nantes carrots, parsnips and Tuscan kale served with both the 2021 GOLD Cabernet Sauvignon and 2023 GOLD Cabernet Sauvignon. The evening concluded with a vanilla cream tartlet featuring Silverado Trail strawberries and wild fennel—a perfect finish to an unforgettable dinner.

Thank you again, Joy, for your generosity and hospitality. Evenings like these continue to deepen my appreciation for the craftsmanship, people, and passion that make Napa Valley such a special community.
