POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Three years ago, Cobie Lee came to America with JL Swish Basketball on our USA tour with a dream to find an opportunity to continue her basketball journey in the United States. For three straight years, Cobie and her family trusted us, believed in our vision, and trusted JL Swish & @lockdownacademydarwin @houston.blaze.basketball to help create the right pathway for her future. 🇦🇺✈️🇺🇸🏀
Today, we can proudly say WE MADE IT HAPPEN. ❤️🖤

Cobie is officially the FIRST FEMALE STUDENT-ATHLETE IN JL SWISH HISTORY to take this next step and secure an opportunity to continue her basketball and education journey in America. She has broken new ground, set a new record for our program, and opened a door that we know many more young women will walk through after her.

This isn’t just another announcement. This is a milestone for Cobie. This is a milestone for her family.

Cobie, you trusted the process when there were no guarantees. You kept showing up, kept working, kept believing and gave us the opportunity to help turn your dream into reality. You are officially the first — but you will NOT be the last. A massive thank you to Cobie’s family for believing in us and allowing JL Swish to make it happen & to our incredible partners in Lockdown Academy & Elevate Hoops, thank you for helping us create opportunities and make this pathway possible. Without the love, support and relationships we’ve built together, moments like this wouldn’t happen.

“We are honored that you have entrusted us with this exciting chapter in Cobie’s journey. We look forward to supporting her growth and development both academically and athletically while helping her reach her fullest potential on and off the court. Welcome to the Blaze family-we are excited for everything that lies ahead and are committed to making this an unforgettable experience.” - Coach Pat

COBIE LEE. 🏀❤️

The first female JL Swish & elevate hoops athlete to break through this barrier. The first to make this history.
The first to show what is possible.

And definitely not the last.

Welcome to the next chapter, Cobie. 🇦🇺➡️🇺🇸

These three talented basketball athletes arrived from the Northern Territory and had been in Toowoomba for less than 24 hours and were already in the gym.
It's great to see athletes from all over Australia knowing exactly where to come when they're serious about improving their performance.
Over recent weeks we've had athletes from a wide range of sports through the gym. Different sports require different programs, but the goal is always the same - to help athletes perform at their best.
No matter the sport, if you're serious about your development, this is where you come.

🇺🇸 LAS VEGAS ➝ DARWIN 🇦🇺

WELCOME BACK TO DARWIN, COACH CJ!

Lockdown Academy is excited to announce that Colbye “CJ” Jackson will be relocating from his hometown of Las Vegas, USA, to Darwin, Australia, arriving in mid-February 2027 to take on the role of Coaching Director of Lockdown Academy Darwin. 🔒🏀

CJ will take over from Coach Brodie Lawton, who will return to his hometown of Toowoomba early next year to begin building the next chapter of Lockdown Academy Toowoomba.

This is an exciting step forward as Lockdown Academy continues to grow in both Darwin and Toowoomba. 📈

FROM COACH CJ:

“I’m extremely excited to be returning to Darwin. Moving from Las Vegas to Darwin is a big commitment, but I believe in what Lockdown Academy is building and I can’t wait to be part of its future.

I’m excited to get back in the gym and help the next generation of Lockdown Academy athletes develop, grow and work towards achieving their goals both on and off the court.

I can’t wait to get started.” 💪🏀
