The biggest mistake isn't waiting too long to start your locs, it's waiting too long to maintain them. Here are 3 reasons your new growth should be crocheted on time.
1. It prevents weak spots from developing
Crocheting your new growth on time helps keep each loc securely attached, reducing thinning, breakage, and weak areas before they become major repairs.
2. It keeps your locs neat and uniform. Regular maintenance keeps new growth blended into the existing loc, maintaining consistent size, clean parting, and a
polished appearance.
3. It protects the long-term health of your locs When too much loose new growth is left unmanaged, neighbouring locs can begin to merge, mat, or become difficult to separate. Timely crochet maintenance keeps each loc healthy, strong, and easier to maintain over time.
