Two years today, extremely grateful thinking of every moment and everything achieved since I woke back up that day. Surviving domestic violence has a different kinda effect on you, it’s the nights you fear to go to sleep even though you know they’re in prison, the way you hate anyone touching that part of your body again, thinking about every milestone and smile of my daughters I could’ve missed, the birth of my beautiful niece and every conversation and celebration with family members or friends I wouldn’t of been apart of but it’s not my sentence to carry, it’s his.
