Raw, natural, imperfectly perfect! No fancy reveal! Giving what God gave me.

August 26th marked 3 years since my brother passed. After celebrating my sister's birthday I drove 4hrs from vegas solo. During that trip I said to myself....IT'S time.... as soon as I made it home I cut them! Oddly, I didn't get that "freedom" feeling I expected. I honestly didn't feel anything. It was then when I realized my loc journey did exactly what it was supposed to be.

I am finally in the state of being.

Flowing. Trusting my intuition without seeking confirmation. Allowing what is to be. No longer searching outside of myself for permission, reassurance, or freedom.

I am the affirmation.
I am the freedom.
I am the light!

I kept 4 locs that will be married into two. These are my forever locs ✨

Here’s to honoring what was, releasing what no longer is, and becoming exactly who I’m meant to be. 🖤✨

Braids, pixies, silk presses, weaves! I will be exploring them all!

Happy 38th birthday to me ✨
This year came with lessons I never expected, growth I didn’t know I needed, and blessings I’m still processing. Grateful for the journey, the healing, the elevation, and everything that’s still unfolding. Cheers to 38 may this chapter be softer, richer, and divinely aligned. 🩷

This weekend, I celebrated my 38th birthday (officially on November 14th 🥰), and my heart is so full. It wasn’t just a celebration it was a moment to pause and truly feel how far I’ve come.

This past year stretched me, healed me, and showed me who I’m becoming. I felt so much love and light over the weekend surrounded by people, moments, and energy that reminded me I’m right where I’m meant to be.

As I step into 38, I’m carrying peace, gratitude, and a deeper sense of purpose. Here’s to more alignment, love, and abundance in this next chapter. 💛✨

Thank you @lov3ly_creations_ @lov3lyl33 for my beautiful cake 🎂 😍

Why I Only Retwist Once a Year as a Freeformer

As a freeformer, my locs are meant to grow in their natural pattern without constant manipulation. Retwisting once a year allows my hair to:

✨ Stay healthy — Less tension means less thinning, breakage, and stress on the roots.
✨ Maintain density — Freeforming keeps my locs full, thick, and true to their natural shape.
✨ Honor the journey — Freeforming is about embracing growth, patience, and individuality.
✨ Let my scalp breathe — Fewer retwists reduce build-up and allow your scalp to thrive.
✨ Prevent over-manipulation — My hair decides its own parting and sizing, not constant hands and tools.

A once-a-year retwist is simply a light reset—not a requirement. Freeforming is about freedom, intention, and letting your locs tell their own story.
