Japan Festival Boston 2026 is happening this weekend, and beyond the performances, food, and cultural showcases, there’s another part of the festival we’re especially excited about: our community meetups!

Throughout the weekend, several amazing local groups will be gathering, connecting, and celebrating together at the festival. If you’re looking to meet new people, find your community, or just drop in and say hi, make sure to check them out:

• North Shore AAPI Coalition
• Kimono de Jack Massachusetts
• Asian Girlies of Boston
• J-pop & Anime Random Dance Circle

Whether you’re deeply involved in these communities or just curious, you’re welcome. One of the best parts of Japan Festival is how it brings people together in ways that continue long after the weekend ends.

See you at the festival!

Wait— cherry blossom season in Boston just collided with an anime flash mob?? 👀

Yep, we‘re at it again lol ( ´∀｀) Who knew we could bring this kind of energy all the way out here?
This time we’re coming with an even bigger setlist:
ACG / J-Pop / crowd favorites on shuffle — there‘s something for everyone, even if you’re winging it 👀

📍 Boston Common
📅 April 26, 2026 Sun.| 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

No experience needed — totally free to join! If a song comes on and you know the moves, jump in. Watching, vibing, or deciding on the spot? All welcome ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪

It‘s Japan Festival weekend, so come hang, make friends, catch some cherry blossoms, and maybe bust out a move or two 🌸

DM us if you want more details — see you under the sakura trees! 🌸
