💙 EVERY CHILD DESERVES A CHANCE TO THRIVE! 💙

Mental health challenges don’t discriminate by age, and far too many children and families are facing these struggles every single day.

That’s why I’m proud to support Lodestar Children’s Services, an incredible organization serving Long Island and NYC, providing critical in-home mental health services to children and teens under 21. Their mission is to help young people thrive, keep families together, and reduce the need for out-of-home care. 🙏

🎉 This year, Lodestar celebrates 10 YEARS of making a difference, and they’re hosting a special anniversary fundraiser to help continue their mission for the next decade!

I’m heading to Long Island on November 5th to cook for Lodestar Children’s Services as they celebrate 10 years of helping children and families in our community.

And there’s a personal connection: Lodestar’s founder, James Regan, and I were high school classmates. I’ve watched what he and his team have built and I’m proud to be part of this celebration.

I’ll be preparing the food for the evening, and it’s also Lodestar’s biggest fundraiser of the year. If you’re on Long Island, I’d love to see you there.

Come have a great night, eat some great food, and support an organization doing important work for children’s mental health.

November 5 • Huntington, NY

I hope you’ll join me.

Today is the DEADLINE to submit to this NEW Fellowship Opportunity to @nyscouncilonthearts and the @officeofmentalhealth ! Submit by 5pm. DM @anuannam or @seaofvisibility if you need help with submitting your work with SEA of Visibility. This call is very aligned with our ⭐️ mission ⭐️ so let SEA do one of the things we most love to do, and support you! 🙂 go to arts,my.gov for their RFP. NYSCA has been incredible in training me as a leader with their program with @museumhue, supported the social practices of @seaofvisibility, and my progress as a teacher plus has helped many, many others in our program with their numerous grants such as their individual artist support grant which is extremely competitive.

🙌🏽🩵 🌊 Thank you to everyone growing this mission, creating a tidal MOVEMENT which was our intention always. SEA of Visibility thanks NYSCA and all our incredible participants, collaborators, funders, and sponsors who work with our organization to create seismic change by helping to destigmatize mental illness and create pathways for integration through the arts.

🔥Our vision catches fire like candles, one flame not diminishing another but doubling, tripling and so on, the illumination creating a clarity that drives out ignorance (🙏🏽 MLK) Through SEA, people once marginalized have found themselves at the center, leading programs and winning grants, and above all, making new art that uplifts communities.

💰 Remember, as always, you can also DONATE to us anytime so we can continue to be able to work. True integration is financial* as well. We need to pay our artist staff and participants fairly, so we can continue to do more than strive to survive, but thrive! Link in bio

MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU. Happy Star Wars Day, everyone! 7 years ago, I did a live painting onstage in less than four hours. I went with a #starwars theme since the event was on May 4th. The painting was auctioned off to benefit @lodestarcs - a wonderful organization that benefits local youth. Please go check them out. #starwarsday #maythefourth #may4th #maythe4th #maythe4thbewithyou #maytheforcebewithyou #princessleia #hansolo #iloveyou #iknow #art #artgallery #liartgallery #longislandpainter #babylonny #babylonvillage @tchristensenart #artist

It was a true pleasure to host fellow @setonhall grad & @phikappasigma brother James Regan Jr. and the team from Lodestar Children’s Services @lodestarcs which provides in-home mental health services to children, yesterday at Romer Debbas LLP for our charity luncheon series.

Very proud of James and the amazing work he and the Lodestar team are doing !
