From meeting Kimberly Lee Minor to hearing Julie Miller’s “The Rich Auntie Guide: Future Proofing Your Legacy,” the day was packed with lessons on leadership, business growth, and building a lasting legacy.

A standout was connecting with John Haynes III his insight and passion for helping businesses grow were truly inspiring! Free one-on-one coaching and Kim Roxie’s heartfelt story added even more meaning to the day.

Special love to B. Encore, P. Sherrod & Co., and Lofinda Luxury for bringing style, craftsmanship, and beautiful fragrances!

Thank you, Gwen Haynes, for the invitation and opportunity to learn, connect, and grow. HBCU proud, always!

Leaving with fresh energy, meaningful connections, and renewed excitement for what’s next.

WOCRA @woc_retail_alliance is "GROWTH". Kimberly Lee Minor asked us to share online what WOCRA means to us and for me, we have no where else to go but to grow and build in 2027.

Oct 1st on the road at @hotelcolee for the BIG Blaze Innovate Grow Summit in Atlanta WOCRA
The Summit is a curated experience for leaders and builders shaping the future of retail and consumer brands, helping to create meaningful pathways for women of color in retail. I spent more than 20 years in retail in the Northeast and Atlanta, so this was an easy call to attend.
I had the pleasure of attending Day 1 of the Summit today and it was a reunion of sorts. I walked in and saw many familiar faces including @anwulieyewear and @lofindaluxury , @psherrodbags among others at the event. The panels and guests covered how we stay resistant and resilient in the face of business challenges, financial and AI guidance and more. One highlight today was Kimberly Roxie of @lamikbeauty her journey and when it started. Incredible.
Looking forward to Day 2! Thank you to my peep Nikki Taylor for the invitation!

Grow & Glow ✨

And just like that… it became more than an event.

It was a room full of women choosing growth.
Choosing visibility.
Choosing to show up fully in who they are and what they’re building.

The conversations, the connections, the energy in that room… you truly had to be there.

This is what Black Women in Weddings is about.

Community.
Collaboration.
And creating spaces where we can grow — together.

Thank you to every single person who showed up, poured in, and made this experience what it was 💛

We’re just getting started.
